Esta La Musica takes its name from a tattoo Graham received on his right arm while performing in Los Angeles in the late 1990s. After leaving Kiss 100 and relocating to Southeast Asia, he used the phrase for a weekly show focused on Techno, House Music and related electronic styles.
Graham’s early DJ years were rooted in London, where he built a strong reputation through long residencies, radio work and specialist music programming. His ten-year, six-nights-a-week residency at Gulliver’s Club in Mayfair became one of the key foundations of that profile.
His route into music began earlier, when his interest in Afrocentric music led him to co-found The Funky Road Show as a teenager in West London. By the age of 18, he was playing Black music five nights a week across the capital, moving through Reggae, Soul, Disco and Jazz Funk.
During the 1980s, Graham worked across London pirate radio before joining the Radio London Soul Night Out team. He later hosted a Saturday-night Soul programme on Capital FM, receiving the station’s Broadcaster of the Year award in 1985.
Graham was involved with Kiss FM London from its early period, and his later Kiss 100 broadcasts brought his work to an international audience. Alongside the Peach club brand, those weekly shows helped establish his name across radio, club culture and the wider electronic music scene.
He spent eight consecutive years in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs poll and was also listed by Dash among its most popular DJs in the world of all time. Graham continues to perform across Asia and internationally while keeping Esta La Musica active as a regular radio platform.

DJ Graham Gold presents Esta La Musica 340 on Scientific Sound Asia, with a selection moving through Melodic House and Techno, Progressive House, Indie Dance, Minimal Tech, Afro House, Deep Tech House and Tech House. The episode features music from Electricano, Lerr, Simon Vuarambon, Alex O’rion, Nico Morano, Freakme, Packim, Theus Mago, Tomic, Lucas Grain, Booka Shade and Ben Remember.
Electricano opens with Le Contre on Conceptual, placing the programme inside Minimal Tech. Lerr then moves the episode into Progressive House with Ameba on Assymetric, before Simon Vuarambon adds Morgana on Trybes Of.
Alex O’rion’s Alone on Sudbeat keeps the early section in Progressive House. Nico Morano then shifts the set towards Indie Dance with Merci Paris on Sincopat, adding a leftfield club turn.
Freakme and Packim bring Kwaya in the Anis Hachemi remix on Dear Deer, introducing Afro House into the middle of the show. Theus Mago follows with Rave Dave on PET5, returning the programme to Indie Dance.
Tomic’s Insane on Inu moves the selection back into Melodic House and Techno. Luis Pergo then adds Latin Vibes on Manicomio, bringing a Deep Tech House entry to the late section.
Lucas Grain’s Between Us appears in the Tantum remix on Mango Alley, returning the tracklist to Progressive House. Booka Shade’s Atlantic Beam on Blaufield and Ben Remember’s We Work So Good on Toolroom close Esta La Musica 340 across Melodic House and Techno and Tech House.
