After Hours episode 502 returns with Hypnotised hosting the first hour and guest duo Cedren & Manu-L joining the programme on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music news platform serving listeners across the region and internationally.
Hypnotised is a Belgian DJ, producer and label head from Ghent whose background developed through the city’s electronic music culture. Growing up around events such as I Love Techno and 10 Days of Techno helped establish his early interest in underground club music.
During the first stages of his career, Hypnotised played across a broad range of electronic styles at clubs and parties around Ghent. Over time, his direction moved towards deeper and more progressive material, with longer transitions, melodic development and Techno influences becoming increasingly important to his sets.
Together with Thailand-based DJ and producer PatriZe, he presents the long-running After Hours radio show. The programme has been broadcast through TM Radio in the United States, Cosmos Radio in Germany and Scientific Sound Asia Radio, connecting their Progressive House selections with listeners across several continents.
The pair also present AH Digital Essentials through Proton Radio, extending the music surrounding their label into another dedicated programme. Hypnotised additionally hosts his own monthly Energetic show on Progressive Beats Radio in Germany and has appeared as a guest on stations including Ibiza Global Radio, Frisky Radio and DI.FM.
His club and festival appearances have placed him alongside artists including Marco Bailey, Tom Hades, Purple Disco Machine, Jesse Rose and Nick Bril. Performances have included Amsterdam Dance Event, Deep on Deck Festival in South Africa, Club NL in Amsterdam, Decadence in Ghent, W Lounge in Amsterdam and Citylife in Terneuzen.
In 2015, Hypnotised and PatriZe founded AH Digital, creating an independent outlet for Progressive House and related electronic music. The label became closely connected with After Hours, allowing the radio programme, artist network and release catalogue to develop alongside one another.
Hypnotised’s debut EP for the label, People from the Otherworld, reached number four on Beatport’s Progressive House Top 100 releases chart. Its title track was later remixed by Rui Da Silva, adding another recognised name to the project.
Further chart success followed with the Infinity EP, which reached second place in both the Progressive House and Trance release charts and third place in Techno. These results strengthened his profile as a producer while demonstrating the range of influences feeding into his studio work.
He also records under the Man on the Moon alias, which has given him another outlet for material with a different electronic character. Releases under that name include Sense through Bonzai, connecting his work with one of Belgium’s established electronic labels.

This week’s guests for the second hour are Cedren & Manu-L, the Maltese DJ and production duo formed by Warren Barun and Manuel Borg. Their sets move through Deep Tech, Progressive House and related underground styles, balancing controlled warm-up selections with darker and more forceful club material.
The pair came together after spending years working closely within the same musical environment and developing a shared understanding of dancefloor energy. That connection became the foundation of their joint project, allowing them to combine individual influences within a single back-to-back identity.
Cedren & Manu-L built their reputation through appearances at local festivals and clubs before establishing a stronger presence within Malta’s underground electronic music community. Their performances became known for gradually increasing intensity, moving from deeper grooves into heavier and more driving selections as the room developed.
They later founded Genesis, an event series in Malta that brought international artists into the local scene. Through the project they hosted DJs and producers including Dale Middleton, Mariano Mellino, Lonya, Graziano Raffa, Marcelo Vasami, Sonic Union, Petar Dundov, Khen, Nick Devon, Soul Button, Cid Inc and Dmitry Molosh.
Genesis gave the duo experience not only as performers but also as organisers and curators. Building line-ups around international Progressive House and Techno artists allowed them to develop a stronger connection with the wider underground scene while creating a regular platform in their home country.
Cedren & Manu-L also became resident DJs at The Playground, one of Malta’s established underground clubs. The residency gave them further opportunity to refine their joint sets and develop the musical chemistry that has become central to their performances.
Alongside DJing and event organisation, the pair have developed a growing catalogue of original productions and remixes. Their Beatport profile includes releases through labels such as Asymmetric Records, Dear Deer, One of a Kind, Tribal Pulse, Clinique Recordings and AH Digital.
Their relationship with AH Digital also connects them naturally with After Hours and its wider network of Progressive House producers and DJs. Releases through the label place their studio work alongside the music regularly featured by Hypnotised and PatriZe through the programme.
DJ Hypnotised opens the first hour of After Hours 502 with Kenan Savrun's remix of D.J. MacIntyre and Lorely Mur's "Cold Water Army", setting a deep Progressive House direction through measured percussion and gradual melodic development. Ignacio Berardi's remix of Facundo Baggio and Vitaly Shturm's treatment of Hobin Rude continue that patient progression, keeping the opening section atmospheric while steadily increasing its rhythmic weight.
Ignacio Salgado and Dublew carry that deeper movement forward before Geronimo Eguiguren's remix of Gerardo Moro and Juan Buitrago adds further tension through "Koraru". Alex O'Rion's remix of Kamilo Sanclemente's "Evergreen", Kay-D's treatment of Kandar and Sinan Arsan with Nacres complete DJ Hypnotised's hour with the same long-form progressive focus established from the beginning.
Cedren & Manu-l take over with their remix of Doki's "Luminus" on AH Digital, a release firmly rooted in Progressive House and an appropriate introduction to their second-hour selection. Nakul C and Pedro Belardo continue through BC2 and Balkan Connection before Jorgio Kioris' "Marylinn" brings a deeper melodic sweep into the sequence, matching the progressive character associated with Movement Recordings.
Pedro Belardo returns with "Drift Off" before Kaito Aman, Gabo Martin and Alto Astral's remix of Juan Deminicis keep the latter half moving through increasingly detailed melodic passages. Agustin Ficarra and Kostya Outta's remix of Ric Niels close the episode with another controlled progressive run, leaving After Hours 502 as a consistent two-hour journey through deep, atmospheric and melodic Progressive House.
