After Hours 436 is hosted by Hypnotised, with guest DJ VeeQue joining the programme on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music news platform serving listeners across the region and internationally.
Hypnotised is a Belgian DJ, producer and label head from Ghent whose background is rooted in the city’s underground electronic music scene. He was active during the early years of events such as I Love Techno and 10 Days of Techno, experiences that helped shape his understanding of club culture and long-form DJ programming.
During that period, he performed across several of Ghent’s established party venues while exploring different areas of electronic music. Over time, his sound developed towards deeper, more progressive and atmospheric material, with gradual transitions and careful pacing becoming central to his approach.
Together with PatriZe, Hypnotised co-hosts the long-running After Hours series. The programme has been broadcast through TM Radio in the United States, Cosmos Radio in Germany and Scientific Sound Asia Radio, helping the pair reach listeners across several international markets.
The two artists also present AH Digital Essentials on Proton Radio, while Hypnotised hosts his own Energetic programme on Progressive Beats Radio. These projects give him separate platforms for introducing new releases, supporting independent producers and developing deeper musical ideas outside the club environment.
His radio activity has included guest appearances on Ibiza Global Radio, Frisky Radio, DI.FM, Golden Wings Music Radio, Insomnia FM, Groove City Radio, Fnoob Techno Radio, Urgent FM and Ibiza Soul-Radio. This extensive broadcasting background has become an important part of his identity alongside production and live performance.
Hypnotised has also appeared alongside artists including Marco Bailey, Tom Hades, Purple Disco Machine, Jesse Rose and Nick Bril. His performances have taken him to Amsterdam Dance Event, Deep on Deck Festival in South Africa, Club NL in Amsterdam, Decadance and Niche Club in Ghent, W Lounge in Amsterdam, Citylife in Terneuzen and Zanzibar in South Africa.
In 2015, he co-founded AH Digital with PatriZe and moved further into music production. The label became a dedicated outlet for deeper underground electronic music while giving both artists a platform for their own releases and for discovering new producers.
Their early People from the Otherworld project reached number four on Beatport’s Progressive House releases chart and also entered the top twenty of the Techno and Tech House release charts. The title track was later remixed by Rui Da Silva, bringing further international attention to the project.
Hypnotised followed this with further charting material, including the Infinity EP, which reached number two in both the Progressive House and Trance release charts and number three in Techno. In 2016, he also introduced the Man on the Moon alias with Sense on Bonzai, giving him another outlet for his studio work.
His catalogue has included releases through Bonzai Progressive, Green Martian, SLC-6 Music, Pro-B-Tech Music, Stellar Fountain, Vesta Records, Insomniafm, Abstract Space Records, Eternal Beats, Beat Block Records, Aeriform Records and several other independent labels. AH Digital remains central to his work as a producer, curator and label manager.
After Hours 436 continues the established format with Hypnotised opening the programme before VeeQue takes over as the featured guest. The episode gives both artists space to develop their own selections within a series built around deeper underground electronic music and international artist exchange.
Guest DJ VeeQue (second hour)
This week’s guest DJ is VeeQué, the stage name of Sri Lankan-born DJ and producer Vidath Induwara. His interest in music and audio began at an early age, eventually leading him to study Audio Engineering in 2014 before completing further education in Sound and Music Technology.
As his technical understanding developed, he moved steadily from DJing into studio production. His earliest work explored EDM and House before his interests shifted towards deeper, more atmospheric and underground electronic music.
That evolution became central to the identity of his project. Rather than concentrating only on club functionality, he began combining melodic structures, organic acoustic elements and experimental textures with a more introspective approach to rhythm and arrangement.
His musical influences are deliberately broad and include Hans Zimmer, Pink Floyd, Kalya Scintilla, Lee Burridge, Boris Brejcha and Moby. Those references reflect his interest in cinematic atmosphere, harmony and emotional detail as much as conventional dancefloor structure.
His SoundCloud and Mixcloud material show that wider approach across both productions and DJ mixes. His aim is to create sets that feel connected as a complete journey, using contrast, melody and pacing rather than treating each track as an isolated moment.
Over the years, his music has been supported by artists including Bynomic, Airwave, Christian Monique, Nishan Lee, Mario Picco and PPK. His productions have also appeared through a range of independent labels, helping his work reach listeners beyond his original Sri Lankan base.
His later catalogue shows how that sound continued to develop. Western Clouds, a collaboration with Belms, appeared on ARRVL Records in 2023 before receiving an Abel Meyer remix in 2025, while Lawless Land was revisited by Kiz Pattison for ARRVL Three in 2024.
Further material includes Selfless Thoughts on The Audio Atelier, released in 2025. These projects reinforce the deeper, melodic and progressive direction that became increasingly important to his production work.
Across these releases, he has maintained an interest in music that balances movement with reflection. His work often uses atmosphere and melodic development to create a sense of narrative rather than relying entirely on peak-time impact.
That narrative approach also shapes his DJ sets. VeeQué has described music as a way of connecting memory, emotion and individual experience, with the same piece capable of creating different meanings for different listeners.
For his appearance on After Hours 436, VeeQué brings that philosophy into the guest section of the programme. His contribution adds a Sri Lankan perspective shaped by audio engineering, studio experimentation and a long-standing interest in deeper electronic music.
Hypnotised opens the first hour of After Hours 436 with Franco Tejedor's remix of Ricardo Piedra's "Herbs", immediately establishing the measured pulse of Progressive House. Oliver & Tom's remix of NOIYSE PROJECT with Dylan Deck and Axel Zambrano's "Dominate" continue that direction, keeping the early section focused on long transitions and steady melodic development.
Evegrem introduces the first Melodic House and Techno variation with "Serenity" before Fabri Lopez and Lio Q guide the hour back into Progressive House. Mir Omar's remix of Mariano Favre and Gonzalo Sacc with Rodrigo Lapena's treatment of Cris Rosales maintain the deeper progression before Brvnni closes Hypnotised's section with a remix of Rafa Alcantara's "Radar".
VeeQue begins the second hour with an untitled promo before Nicolas Giordano, Downgrooves with Chris Sterio and Audioglider continue the Progressive House focus. Nosh & SJ's remix of Cris Rosales' "Fly Away" strengthens that continuity between the two hours, giving the programme a clear recurring progressive thread.
RE/MIND's "Replica" introduces a second Melodic House and Techno passage before Sean & Dee's remix of Darksidevinyl with Cadillac Express returns the mix towards Progressive House. Findike's remix of JP Lantieri then brings another melodic turn, adding extra contrast before VeeQue's remix of Gabo Martin reconnects the closing section with the episode's dominant style.
Stuart King's "Shine A Light" finishes the programme with its sole Organic House selection, softening the final moments after a largely progressive two-hour journey. Across Episode 436, they keep Progressive House firmly at the centre while Melodic House and Techno and a final Organic House cut provide the main stylistic departures.
