El Brujo presents El Brujo and The Wild Bunch episode 22 on Scientific Sound Asia, with guest DJ Judge Jay. Scientific Sound Asia is an electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
El Brujo, whose real name is Robert Milanesi, was born in Italy in 1964 and developed a deep passion for music from a young age. That interest led him to become a pivotal figure in Bologna's underground rave scene from 1994, before his first official release, Warriors, appeared on Milan Label Open Legs in 2008.
In 2010, El Brujo launched his label, Jambalay Records, during its opening party at Club Geminis in Ibiza harbour, Spain. The occasion marked the label's entry into the electronic music scene on a global scale.
His breakthrough came with Mozambique, a collaboration with Big Mojo that caught the attention of Maya Jane Coles and earned a place in her February Chart 2011. The track brought El Brujo and Jambalay Records international attention, while also becoming his first physical CD release, Nutty Fellas Are Go.
In January 2019, El Brujo's release, Plastic Dreams, originally issued on Frameworkxx, reached number 33 in the Beatport Hard Techno Top 100. His discography also includes releases on Elektrax, Frame Workxx, LW Recordings, Subwoofer, Berlin After Dark, Music Is The Drug, Gobekli Tepe, Fortwin Rec, Bunker, Mad Rhythm, SE7ENS, Physical Techno and numerous other labels.
His versatility as a producer has brought recognition across several electronic-music subgenres. El Brujo's sound is informed by his interest in the cosmos and employs a raw approach across musical genres.
El Brujo regularly seeks new approaches to musical expression and presents a guest DJ from his Wild Bunch of Techno and House Music producers and artists each month. His show features promos and tracks from his regular contributors and companions, offering a view of the Techno and House Music scene.

Judge Jay, whose real name is Salvatore Lo Giudice, is an Italian producer, DJ, radio host, and remixer, originally hailing from Sicily, Italy. Currently based in Cologne, Germany, Judge Jay is an active presence in the local electronic music scene, regularly performing at events across the city and throughout the region. His eclectic style and dynamic performances have earned him recognition and acclaim within the electronic music community in Germany and beyond.
Judge Jay embarked on his musical journey at a tender age, nurturing his passion for electronic music, particularly House and Techno. His formative years were steeped in the sounds of Chicago and Detroit styles, laying the groundwork for his exploration of diverse genres including Acid Jazz, Italo Disco, Funky, and Fusion. With a voracious appetite for musical exploration, Judge Jay's early experiences shaped his eclectic style and laid the foundation for his dynamic approach to DJing and production.
After honing his craft for many years as a DJ, Judge Jay ventured into remixing and producing his music. This marked a significant milestone in his career, allowing him to express his creativity and musical vision in new ways.
He embarked on both solo projects and collaborative efforts, notably joining forces with Enrico Lobina in the collective project known as Mind2Mind. Together, they embarked on a creative journey that brought their collective vision to life, further establishing Judge Jay as a versatile and innovative force within the Techno and House music scene.
Judge Jay has made his mark as a speaker, DJ, and radio host on several FM stations, including Radio Panda and Club Radio One. His show, Clubbing Zone, has become a platform for showcasing the latest and greatest in electronic music.
Additionally, Judge Jay has contributed to the global music scene through releases on esteemed labels such as Jambalay Records, Kattivo Records, Extreme Pleasure Records, and LETS Techno Records. His diverse body of work reflects his versatility as an artist and his commitment to pushing the boundaries of electronic music.
