McCarty Shoot announce guest DJs for episode 7

Episode 7 of McCarty Shoot features guests Milka López and THEMADDEEJAY on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian radio service for electronic music, a promoter, a DJ agency, and a music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.

McCarty Records emerged from an encounter between Europe and the Middle East, and from the friendship of two longstanding music lovers. Both founders had worked in music for many years before combining their experience and enterprise to establish the label.

At the label's birth, the founders felt young and rebellious enough to make it open to everyone and to every musical strand in the Techno releases they championed. McCarty Records releases material across Techno, Melodic, Deep Tech, Minimal and Tech House.

At the time of publication, McCarty Records presented a monthly selection of new label releases, guest material and records from the global Techno scene. The Techno radio show provided a point of reference for the label's releases and collaborators.

Episode 7 opens with Peak Time Techno through Empa's Lirane on SLiVER Recordings, before Milka López's Athos enters the selection. FAC3OFF's Dark World on Trapez and Blood and Tears' Thorax on Spielstaub keep the opening focused on firm, late-night pressure.

F.R.E.D.'s Neat Freak on RazeRecords and Richard Cleber's Indigo on Agile Recordings extend that direct approach. Jhonnypluse's There I Was precedes Below Surface's 5am Departure on Be Sure, holding the early section in a taut club setting.

Patrik Berg's Activated on Drumcode and George Isaev's 3 A.M. on Avenue Recordings raise the intensity before Milka López returns with Átomos En Cámara on Beathey Recordings. Danz Maxine's Carroña on McCarty Records introduces a deeper Techno (Raw / Deep / Hypnotic) edge.

Sergio Brea's Line Up on McCarty Records brings in Tech House, followed by Rob van Hell's Phase Jump on the same label. Concat's All Night in Dadgar's remix is followed by Coach's Perpetual Dark, remixed by DJ Joel Cabana for McCarty Records.

THEMADDEEJAY's Overdose opens the guest's run, before TechKwando's S.T.A.R.S on McCarty Records introduces Melodic House and Techno. Danz Maxine's Sense Irregularity returns to the raw, deep and hypnotic strain, while THEMADDEEJAY's Call To Arms restores the harder pace.

Basscontroll's Heavenly Times and THEMADDEEJAY's The Day Has Come, both on McCarty Records, carry the closing stretch forward. Coach's World To Come in the COACH Fuck it Remix brings in Hard Techno, before THEMADDEEJAY closes with La Belva on McCarty Records.

Guest DJ Milka López (first hour)

In this show the first DJ Is Milka López, Milka López is a Argentinian DJ and producer from Buenos Aires. From a very young age she was dedicated to classical music. For 10 years she dedicated herself to composing the music for her falter ego as a film producer.

In 2019, her passion for electronic music led her to dedicate herself 100% to playing and producing techno. Her latest releases are “Átomos en cámara” for Beathey Recordings and “Amor X” for Bahrein Records. Currently she is a resident DJ of Club Bahrein in Buenos Aires.

Guest DJ Themaddeejay (second hour)

This episode's next guest DJ is Themaddeejay, he started playing the guitar at 5 years old in the city of Maastricht, The Netherlands. Later on in his childhood, he also learned to play the drums, and this began his love affair with music.

After many years playing in bands, mostly in the Heavy Metal, Rock and Blues genre, he found it was hard to keep bands together and to land some gigs, so it was time for a different approach as an artist.

Then in 1996 he started performing as a DJ and entered a competition at the now defunct Independent Club in Maastricht, Netherlands. This was when he realised that this was his calling as an artist.

He began performing with the artist name Themaddeejay and started producing his own tracks, mainly in the Techno genre and has been doing so for the last 25 years now. He has releases on McCarty Records, LETS Techno Records, and his own personal label MadMinds Productions, amongst others.

Milka López opens the first hour with Empal's Lirane on SLiVER Recordings, a peak-driving Techno selection that sets the tone immediately. Her own Athos follows before FAC3OFF's Dark World pushes further into the darker, more industrial-influenced end of the spectrum, FAC3OFF's post-Detroit sensibility making it one of the more distinctive picks in the set. Blood and Tears' Thorax and F.R.E.D.'s Neat Freak keep the energy consistent through the opening third before Richard Cleber's Indigo on Agile Recordings brings a slightly more textured, groove-aware character to proceedings.

Jhonnypluse's There I Was, Below Surface's 5am Departure and Patrik Berg's Activated form a concentrated mid-section that sustains the hour's harder momentum, Berg's Techno background rooted in Tronic, Terminal M and Filth on Acid fitting naturally into the sequence. George Isaev's 3 A.M. follows, the Russian producer's deep and dark Techno style sitting at the more hypnotic end of the hour's range. Rene Park's Push It then leads into Milka López's closing duo, with Átomos En Cámara rounding out her hour with a personal statement that mirrors the opening Athos in its intent if not its texture.

THEMADDEEJAY takes control of the second hour with Danz Maxine's Carroña opening at a driving Tech House register before Sergio Brea's Line Up and Rob van Hell's Phase Jump maintain the pace. Concat's All Night in the Dadgar Remix and Coach's Perpetual Dark in the DJ Joel Cabana Remix, both familiar from earlier episodes in the series, anchor the hour in the McCarty Records house sound before THEMADDEEJAY's own Overdose makes the first direct statement from the headline act. TechKwando's S.T.A.R.S. and Danz Maxine's Sense Irregularity provide further momentum through the hour's middle passage.

THEMADDEEJAY's material dominates the final third, with Call To Arms, The Day Has Come and La Belva all appearing in close succession alongside Basscontroll's Heavenly Times. Coach closes with World To Come in the COACH Fuck It Remix, the self-remixed version lending a knowing energy to the episode's final moments. Across both hours, McCarty Shoot retains the consistency that defines the series, a tight, label-focused programme that trusts its artists and rarely looks outside its own orbit for inspiration.
