Falso Simulacro presents his second guest show on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across the region and internationally.
Falso Simulacro, real name Rodrigo Perez Moran, is an Argentine DJ and producer from Buenos Aires. He has been active in the local scene for over thirty-five years, with a focus on electronic music that has developed more prominently over the past two decades.
He has held residencies at numerous venues across Buenos Aires since the mid-1980s. His career also includes performances throughout Argentina and a period playing in Uruguay during the early 1990s.
His production work spans a range of styles including Progressive House, Deep House, Tech House and Techno. He began in production as an assistant at Top Records in 1993, building a foundation that continues to shape his output today.
In recent years, he has maintained a consistent release schedule across labels such as NDI, LW Recordings and Papotako Records. Tracks such as The Danceable Castle, Water Walk and Seven Stripes Part 2 reflect a balance between house-driven grooves, melodic structure and deeper, more minimal textures.
His work also explores variations through remixes, including interpretations by El Brujo and Jp Orpha that move into Minimal, Ambient and Melodic House and Techno territories. Releases like Into This House and Alley highlight a deeper, stripped-back direction rooted in Minimal and Deep Tech.
Alongside his studio output, he broadcasts internationally on stations including Maxximixx Electra in Tel Aviv and LDN Radio in London. His guest appearance on Scientific Sound Asia forms part of this ongoing activity, bringing a broad and experienced perspective to the show.
Falso Simulacro’s second Scientific Sound Asia guest show opens with El Brujo’s Stranger Things Room on NDI, establishing a Melodic House and Techno tone before his own promo This Is. S.H.A.D.O’s Listen Carefully on NDI brings in Electronica, while Christian Smith’s Your Lovin' on Drumcode sharpens the opening into peak-time territory.
Falso Simulacro follows with the promo 6 AM, then N86’s Elevated on NDI supplies Peak Time Techno alongside a raw, deep and hypnotic strain of Techno. That deeper approach is grounded in Techno (Raw / Deep / Hypnotic), allowing the set to move beyond the opening’s direct club focus.
Pier Giorgio Marini’s Disco Brain on NDI introduces House Music before Falso Simulacro’s David Aarz remix of Lie Machine, also on NDI, turns towards Tech House. His UFO on Papotako Records sustains that approach, keeping the middle section concise and rhythm-led.
Davide Abbrescia’s Obeah on NDI adds Funky House character to the sequence. John Selway and Christian Smith’s Work It on Tronic and Maurizio G’s Flashback on NDI then carry the set onwards without assigning unsupported genre detail to either record.
Falso Simulacro’s Virtual Life in its Secret Mix on Papotako Records brings in Deep House before Röyksopp’s ARTBAT remix of What Else Is There? on Dog Triumph returns to melodic techno. Deep Forest’s Sweet Lullaby in Falso Simulacro’s Ambrhythm remix, issued as a promo, extends this more expansive passage.
His Missing You in the Base Mix on Papotako Records introduces Deep Tech House, followed by the promo To The Beat. ANOTR’s Self Love on NO ART and Falso Simulacro’s Don't Stop on Papotako Records close the programme with the same lean, club-focused direction.
