Bicycle Corporation present guest DJ Molly Lin for episode 6 of Electronic Roots on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Bicycle Corporation is the Italian duo of DJ and producer Marco Mei and Stefano Ugliano, who is also known as 6884. Their catalogue includes many releases across Deep House, Tech House, French House and Techno.
Marco began his career in the early 1990s as part of the crew behind events such as Urban People. His work gained recognition across Italy before leading to international bookings.
Stefano grew up in Torino, Italy, where his interest in music began in childhood. He studied classical piano, percussion and drums, and developed an appreciation for Chopin and West African djembe.
His fascination with DJing became particularly important during his teenage years, when those sounds were seldom heard on Italian radio. He pursued the ambition to make and play electronic music for audiences with commitment and determination.
That shared commitment eventually led to the formation of Bicycle Corporation. Marco and Stefano have retained an interest in their earlier work alongside their later releases.
They have revisited some of those early tracks and established a Bandcamp page for their distribution. The archive gives listeners access to material from the duo's earlier catalogue.
Episode 6 opens with Catz 'n Dogz's Chueca in the Darius Syrossian remix on Pets Recordings, followed by Wyatt Marshall's Another Redundant Question on DIRTYBIRD, establishing a Tech House foundation. Will Saul's Moorings on Aus Music then brings a more spacious Deep House character before Ramin Rezaie and Murphy's Law (UK) play Fun Guy from Lost Records.
Lorenzo De Blanck's Mendo remix of Fire on Clarisse Records keeps the early club focus intact, while Molly Lin's Tonight on Reckoning Records introduces House Music to the selection. Iglesias's Mr Big on Toolroom gives way to Johannes Heil's EXILE 008 B2 on EXILE and VEERUS's Acid Mode On on Octopus Recordings, raising the pressure through Peak Time Techno.
Molly Lin returns with Something Right Now on Reckoning Records, after which Josh Wink's Adana Twins remix of Higher State Of Consciousness on Strictly Rhythm Records introduces Melodic House and Techno colour. Skream's DUNNN on Rukus and DJ Deep's Tommy on Tresor Records follow, the latter taking the programme towards raw, deep and hypnotic Techno.
Jeroen Search and Gotshell's Al Frente on Be As One extends that deeper strain before SRVD's The Yard Man on Rekids restores a more forceful peak-time approach. FJAAK's PAL on FJAAK and Raito's Mew on Suara are followed by Skream's Tramadollied on Rukus and Layton Giordani's New Generation on Drumcode.
Eli Brown's Ketamine Dream, featuring Daddy Dino, on Arcane Music reconnects the later section with Tech House before The Chemical Brothers' KiNK extended remix of Hey Boy Hey Girl on UMC changes the scale. DJ Emerson's Gayle San remix of Contra on Dolma Records, Alex Stein's The Horn on Variety Music and Hattori Hanzo's Stereo Abuse sustain the set's hard-edged club focus.
DJ Deep's Escape on Tresor Records and Planetary Assault Systems' Raww on Cocoon Recordings lead into COYU's Practical Disorder Compulsory on Suara. Lewis Fautzi's Epidemic Of Wellness on Soma Records, Yves Deruyter's UMEK remix of Calling Earth on Bonzai Vinyl, Cari Lekebusch's Flaunt on Off Recordings and HERTZ COLLISION's Vent on Truncate bring the programme to a firm Techno conclusion.

This week's guest is DJ Molly Lin, Molly Lin is a DJ and producer hailing from Taipei, Taiwan. She worked for several years as one of Taiwan's in-demand A&Rs as well as the producer for the Electro-House band NekoJam.
Molly has recently established herself at the forefront of the local electronic music scene. Having a great opportunity to show Molly's endless creativity in several electronic music genres, such as House, Techno, UK Garage and UK Bass.
She also performs as a Top Liner and Lyricist being good at adding catchy “hooks” and “top lines (melody)” into different electronic music genres. Her songwriting ability makes her DJ sets full of energy and groove.
When Molly drops tracks the crowd go into a frenzy and she envelops the dancefloor. This show features 2 of her upcoming original tracks and they will be released under Reckoning Records (CA) in the coming months.
