Bicycle Corporation introduce guest DJ Sivanesh for episode 2 of Electronic Roots on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency and promoter publishing music news and connecting artists and audiences across the region and internationally.
Bicycle Corporation is the Italian duo formed by Marco Mei and Stefano Ugliano, known as 6884. Their collaboration combines backgrounds in house and techno, drawing from both club culture and broader musical influences to create a sound that balances dancefloor energy with melodic depth.
Marco Mei came up through Italy's underground electronic scene in the early 1990s, organising events with the Urban People collective and building a reputation through DJ sets across the country. That work led to a residency at Pacha, which opened an international touring career and brought him to stages across Europe, Asia and beyond.
Stefano Ugliano grew up in Turin with formal training in classical piano, percussion and drums, developing a grounding in rhythm and composition that drew from both classical composers and the percussive traditions of West African instruments such as the djembe. As electronic music spread across Europe in the 1990s he discovered it through records and underground events, a process that drew him steadily towards DJing and production.
When the two joined forces, Bicycle Corporation emerged from a shared musical history and a mutual passion for the underground. Electronic Roots provides space for that exploration, presenting selections that draw on their influences across house, techno and deeper electronic styles.

Sivanesh is a DJ based in Singapore whose residency at CÉ LA VI at Marina Bay Sands established him as one of the city's more distinctive voices in house and techno. His sets in the main room drew from off-centre house grooves and driving techno, sharing line-ups with artists including Chaos In The CBD, d'Julz, Dennis Ferrer, Jasper James, Okain, Oliver Dollar and Rampa.
His early influences centred on American producers Mood II Swing, giving his sound a rhythmic and soulful foundation that has always sat above strict genre boundaries. House music remains at the core of his identity, but his approach to selection is guided by quality and musical depth rather than category.
That sensibility led to his selection by Cercle to warm up for their debut Asia event featuring The Martinez Brothers in November 2019. Before the pause in Asian nightlife in 2020 he was a regular presence at venues including The Council, Tanjong Beach Club and Kilo Lounge in Singapore, with a Wonderfruit Festival appearance in Thailand and bookings at W Hotel and Iron Fairies in Kuala Lumpur further extending his regional reach.
In 2020 he stepped away from his CÉ LA VI residency to launch Sivilian Affairs alongside his partner Lilian Hautemulle. The project focuses on intimate events that champion local and regional talent, with particular attention given to underrepresented artists within the electronic music community.
