Hailing from Évora, Portugal, DJ Joshua, whose real name is Joshua Mar, has been an ambassador for electronic music since his early days. His collection of vinyl and digital music comes from a lifelong interest in Techno, House, Drum and Bass and Chillout.
During the 1990s, DJ Joshua played a role in Portugal's rave scene, working through the challenges facing electronic music at the time. His commitment to promoting the music brought domestic and international recognition through community radio and event organisation.
After a period away to focus on family, he returned to establish his signature radio shows. The programmes became regular listening for electronic music audiences.
The first hour features music by Vince Watson, Maceo Plex and The KLF, combining Techno and House selections. The second hour turns towards Deep House through artists including DJOKO, Paul Rudder and Deep Dish.
DJ Joshua is known for precise selection and fluent mixing, with a strong understanding of electronic music and its emotional impact. His focus on well-made programmes has earned him a loyal audience.
In the first hour, Floating Beats opens with Vince Watson's Time For Reflection on Everysoul, establishing a Tech House foundation. Arm In Arm's Hunger For Your Vibe in the Moonwalk remix on Blaufield Music introduces Melodic House and Techno, while All Is Well's Is It follows in Version One.
Maceo Plex's Mutant Quasars on MPLX and Applescal's Harmony Three on DGTL keep the melodic direction in place. Butch's Countach on Cocoon Recordings brings the rhythm back towards Tech House before the next shift.

Edu Imbernon's Concorde on Bedrock Records returns to Melodic House and Techno for the later part of Floating Beats. Reset Robot's Earth Or Immortality on Last Night On Earth and Edu Imbernon's Flightmode on Bedrock Records close the hour between Peak Time Techno pressure and melodic structure.
In the second hour, Velvety Elements begins with Gusher's Riazor on Piston Recordings and Fish Go Deep's Who Who on Go Deep Recordings. Both records settle the programme into Deep House before John Deluxe's Joy on Select Rec introduces Deep Tech House.
Deep Dish's Wear The Hat on Deconstruction (Sony) brings a Dance Music entry into the sequence. Head Rush's Dad Shoes on Hush Recordz Limited follows with Tech House, then Platzdasch & Dix and Rawdio's Faraday Cage in Rawdio's Tesla remix on House Cookin Records returns to Deep House.
Alkalino's Isolation in the Vorres remix on DaBit Records and HUGEhands' Your Love on Delve Deeper Recordings hold the deeper feel. Lou²'s Freaky in The Zanzibar Mix on Strictly Rhythm brings in House Music for a warmer late-hour change.
Franck Roger featuring Paul B's Lonely Girl in the Instrumental Mix on Real Tone Records returns the focus to Deep House, followed by Miguel Lobo's Pon Ya Body on Rawsome Recordings. Tiki Tembo's Return To Me in the James Dexter Mix provides the final record, leaving Velvety Elements in its deeper House setting.
