DJ Marco Mei of Bicycle Corporation returns with episode 30 of his 2026 radio series on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music news platform serving listeners across the region and internationally.
With more than three decades behind the decks, Marco has developed an adaptable style spanning House, Deep House, Tech House, Disco and Techno. His broad musical knowledge and understanding of club audiences have established him as an experienced figure within underground electronic music across Europe and Asia.
Marco began DJing in Turin during the early 1990s as Italy’s underground club scene was expanding rapidly. Through his involvement with the Urban People collective, he helped organise events and became closely connected with the city’s growing electronic music community.
His developing reputation later led to a residency with Pacha in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. That opportunity became an important stage in his international career and opened the way for further bookings outside Italy.
Over the years, Marco has performed at clubs and venues across Europe and Asia, including Woo Bar in Bali, The Mansion in Shanghai, Fuse in Brussels and The Observatory in Ho Chi Minh City. These appearances strengthened his experience of different club cultures while allowing his sets to respond to the character of each dancefloor.
In 2009, Marco formed Bicycle Corporation with Italian producer Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884. Together they have developed a catalogue of more than fifty original productions and remixes covering a broad range of club-focused and melodic electronic music.
Their releases have appeared through labels including Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, Suka and GrooveTraxx. The partnership combines Marco’s understanding of dancefloor structure and programming with Stefano’s musical training and studio experience.
That balance allows Bicycle Corporation to shift between rhythm-led material and more melodic productions without losing the underground character of the project. Their work reflects the wide musical interests both artists have developed throughout their careers rather than concentrating on a single formula.
Marco continues to share new music, radio episodes and production activity through his Facebook page. His selections connect earlier influences with contemporary club material while retaining the identity developed through decades of DJing.
Now based in Taipei, Marco remains closely connected with electronic music activity across Asia through clubs, radio and regional collaborations. His position in the region allows him to combine an extensive European background with direct experience of club cultures and artist communities across Asia.
He is represented for bookings through the Scientific Sound Asia DJ agency, while his weekly series continues through the Scientific Sound Asia radio station. Episode 30 continues that long-running format with another selection shaped by Marco’s extensive experience as a DJ, producer and international performer.
DJ Marco Mei opens Episode 30 with Dim City and Pal Joey before The Untouchables and The Underground Solution establish a strong Deep House and House Music foundation. Avon Stringer with Jeremy Joshua and Dam Swindle keep the groove warm and understated, balancing classic house references with contemporary club production.
Fatboy Slim’s “Song For Lindy” in the Sem Jacobs remix lifts the energy before Inner City with Steffanie Christi'an bring a Detroit-influenced dub approach. Midas Field, Megatronic and Nu Colours then carry the set through deeper and more soulful house territory before Route 94 introduces a firmer Tech House edge.
Sade’s MRZ edit provides a brief stylistic detour before Kashovski with Elliot Vast return the mix to house, followed by Melé and RIA bringing in Afro House with “Ay Sí”. Mochakk with Joni and Robotman with Marshall Jefferson then push the programme back towards club-focused house and Tech House through the Marco Carola and Jamie Jones remixes.
Demuja and Hilit Kolet continue the house thread before Hipp-E restores a deeper feel and Hot Towel introduces a Balearic element with “Warm In Your Office”. Maya Jane Coles against Loleatta Holloway then adds a clear Vocal House moment, linking familiar vocals with the more underground character of the surrounding tracks.
Messential P, Nathan Stewart and Modat take the later stages through House, Deep House and Deep Tech House before Ozgur Uzar brings Afro House back into the sequence. Jimpster’s dub of Photon Inc. with Paula Brion and After Hours’ “Waterfalls / Feel It” close the episode with a firm house foundation, rounding out a set that blends deep, classic, Afro, vocal and tech-driven influences.
