DJ Joshua, whose real name is Joshua Mar, comes from Évora, Portugal, and is a passionate fan of electronic music. He demonstrates his commitment to the genre through an extensive collection of vinyl records and digital tracks.
His DJ career is fuelled by his affection for electronic music genres such as Techno, House, Drum and Bass, and Chillout. In the 1990s, DJ Joshua was instrumental in Portugal's rave culture, despite encountering resistance to the unconventional style of rave music at the time.
He persisted in presenting music on community radio programmes and organising events, eventually gaining recognition locally and internationally. After a brief hiatus to focus on family matters, he returned to music by launching his radio shows.
Floating Beats showcases a range of electronic music styles, including tracks by Antwon Faulkner, Steve Lawler and Brame & Hamo. The programme offers a mix of Techno and House music for listeners.
Velvety Elements explores the soulful side of Deep House in the second hour, featuring artists such as Pepe Mateos, Luca Bisori and Danny Tenaglia. The programme foregrounds the emotional depth and complexity of Deep House music.

Dee Montero's Alpha on Knee Deep In Sound and Steve Lawler and MC Johnny Def's People on Truesoul bring Melodic House and Techno into the first hour. Ian O'Donovan's Blood Moon on Restructured Recordings returns the set to Peak Time Techno.

In the second hour, Velvety Elements begins with Pepe Mateos and GruuvElement's Ritmo on Golden Gate Club Records, a Deep Tech House selection. Luca Bisori's Sun In My Voice on Ocean Trax then introduces House Music.
Akio Imai and Benjiro Fujita's Downshifting on Radiola brings Deep House into the second-hour sequence. Gorkiz's Freedom on Street Habitat moves back towards Deep Tech House.
Archie Hamilton and Benson Herbert's Swerve on MicroHertz sustains the Deep Tech House direction. Dario D'Attis's Gorge Remix of There's A! on Toolroom returns to Deep House.
Caravala's Rasca & Pica on Plastik Galaxy brings Tech House back into play before Danny Howells's Mallets on Variety Music revisits Melodic House and Techno.
