6047 announces playlist for his guest show Wednesday 17th of March

6047 presents his guest show on Scientific Sound Asia, with a programme of progressive club selections and breaks. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.

6047 (read as 60:47) is a Los Angeles, California-based DJ and producer of Vietnamese origin with a strong affinity for California’s culture. His work spans electronic music releases in several styles, united by his own approach to production and DJing.

Across a 20-year career, 60:47 has issued more than 800 tracks and remixes in a range of formats through various labels. That extensive discography has brought his music to listeners internationally and established a substantial body of electronic work.

His productions combine cultural influences with electronic rhythms, while his tracks and remixes document the course of his musical output. Each release adds to a catalogue shaped by a sustained commitment to production.

60:47 lets the music speak through his releases and approaches new work with optimism. His production skills have also led to guest appearances on international radio stations around the world.

His work has received acclaim for its detailed production and for the range of sounds it explores. Behind the decks, he focuses on progressive music, broken beats and precise beat matching.

At the time of the original publication, 60:47 was involved in collaborative projects with artists from Scientific Sound Asia. His collaborative work also reached online radio stations and podcasts internationally.

This guest programme begins with deeper club material before placing a stronger emphasis on broken beats in its second half. Future Funk Squad, Rennie Pilgrem, Force Mass Motion, Elite Force and Soul Of Man all feature in the later selections.

Jeff Sharel opens with the Aqua Bassino remix of Time Condition on Statra, bringing Deep House weight to the first record. Gus Gus follow with Biggi Viera’s Megatron remix of Ladyshave on 4AD, before Mekon’s Röyksopp remix of Please Stay on Play It Again Sam adds a measured Dance Music edge.

16B’s Marcelo Castelli Tribal Dub of The Game on Hooj Choons brings House Music into a firmer club framework. Francesco Farfa Meets The Pleasure Team’s Weekend World remix of The Search on Plastic Fantastic then moves through Progressive House towards Progressive Trance.

DJD Pres. The Hydraulic Dogs bring the M.A.S. Collective Macro Sub remix of Shake It For Me on Styles Kickin’ back towards house-led pressure. Cass & Slide’s Dark Globe remix of All The Freaks on Fire introduces Breakbeat, while Mr. C’s Usual Suspects remix of Because on End supplies a compact Tech House turn.

Future Funk Squad’s Protect You on Bedrock Breaks establishes the second half’s breaks focus. Rennie Pilgrem’s Jacknife on Bedrock Breaks and Force Mass Motion’s Why Me? on Lot49 keep the pace direct and club-centred.

Elite Force’s Sk8r on Bedrock Breaks follows with a taut rhythmic feel, before Will Saul’s Chameleon on Simple broadens the broken-beat sequence. Soul Of Man’s Outback on Finger Lickin’ keeps that direction in place with a heavier late-set character.

Lee Coombs and Meat Katie’s Import on Bedrock Breaks leads into La Liga’s Out In London, also on Bedrock Breaks, where the set returns to breakbeat. Dylan Rhymes’ Panic Button and Dogzilla’s Big Chat, both issued through Bedrock Breaks, close the programme with its broken-beat emphasis intact.
