Gerard presents The Hit List episode 63 on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, promoter, DJ agency and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Gerard is a Florida-based DJ from the USA whose work centres on electronic music, production and DJ performance. His sets and productions have established him as a recognisable presence in house music.
Gerard began as part of DeviceRATT with F.L.I. Records, where his interest in electronic music developed into a lasting commitment to the field. That early experience helped shape the beats and sounds he later brought to audiences.
He performed throughout South Florida's underground circuit, including appearances at Treehouse and Nocturnal. These performances brought rave reviews, sold-out shows and a growing following.
In 2014, Gerard released his debut through Aerotek Records and later issued music with labels including Pure Pitch and LTHM. Those releases placed him within the wider House Music scene.
His work also took him beyond the United States, with residencies at venues across East Asia. Through beats and performance, he developed the same audience connection abroad that he had built in his native country.
Gerard became a familiar figure in China's music scene after building a substantial following in venues there. When the pandemic struck, he returned to America after his period of success in the Far East.
Since returning to the States, Gerard has wielded his craft at events across the USA and in Florida. His work spans House Music and Techno, while his audience has grown beyond his home state.
Gerard's The Hit List episode 63 opens with Bretho Rodriguez and Diiego Hehr's Viva Venezuela, before Bretho Rodriguez follows with Amanece on Afterhours Recordings. The latter establishes the Tech House direction that runs through much of the programme.
DJ Lugo and Richie Markz bring Colibri in the Belier & Ribass remix, released through Insert Coin. DJ Wady and Rio Dela Duna then keep the pressure up with Brisk on HOUSETRIBE RECORDINGS.
Dennis Cruz and Iuliano Mambo's Expander arrives via Dirty Humans, followed by Dennis Cruz's Better Than Pussy on Solid Grooves Raw. The latter brings a deeper shade of Deep Tech House before K.E.N.N.Y.'s That Groove on Marktek Records introduces Peak Time Techno.
Samu Rodriguez's Dennis Cruz remix of Turn On Wet on Lemon-aid Music returns the set to Tech House. Yas Cepeda's Alex Denne remix of Back To Track, issued by Squad Music, adds a more direct House Music passage before Chris Santana's Dennis Cruz remix of California for Lemon-aid Music.
The Deepshakerz contribute I'm Burnt through Snatch! Records, and Claptone and Blaenavon's Alone receives a Juliet Sikora remix on Different. Matt McLarrie's Hollen remix of Tickly Voodoo on Hossa House sustains the programme's club-focused Tech House energy.
Bizen Lopez's Back to the Start on Diversions Music leads into DJ Koutarou.A's This Is Love, remixed by Katsuya Sano and Sancho Meiso Chaya Lo Hype Love Tom for Unknown Season. OC & Verde close with Gitarra on Street Tracks, ending the selection with Deep House weight.
