Gerard presents The Hit List 052 with guest Kyza on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Gerard is a DJ and producer from Florida, USA, whose work spans Deep House, Deep Tech, Tech House and Techno. His approach to electronic music developed through both production and DJ work.
He began as part of DeviceRATT with F.L.I. Records, where his interest in electronic music grew into a lasting commitment to the form. That period helped him establish the beats and sounds that shaped his work as a performer.
Gerard performed across South Florida's underground scene, including appearances at Treehouse and Nocturnal. His work brought positive reviews, sold-out shows and an expanding audience.
In 2014, Gerard released his debut with Aerotek Records, establishing a recorded catalogue within the electronic scene. Further releases followed through labels including Pure Pitch and LTHM.
His work also took him beyond the United States, where he secured residencies at venues across East Asia. There, he played beats for audiences in the region and built on the experience gained in his home scene.
After establishing a following across venues in China, Gerard returned to America when the pandemic struck. His period in the Far East had made him a familiar figure for many local music listeners.
Since returning to the States, Gerard has wielded his craft through DJing and production. His audience has grown beyond his original scene as his music has reached listeners internationally.
Guest DJ Kyza (first hour)
This week's guest DJ is Kyza, Kyza whose real name is Will Negron originates from the island of Puerto Rico and moved to Tampa in Florida aged seven years old. He has spent most of his years residing in what he describes as a beautiful city.
Kyza fell in love with the underground rave scene in Orlando in 2017, bounded by its energy and diversity. Having been immersed in the rave scene and gaining an acquired musical footing he set off as a DJ just over a year ago and is transfixed on gaining experience and progressing his skills.
He aims to alleviate his passion for Techno and House music by improving as a Disc Jockey and is excited for what the future holds as he practices his new art. Kyza hopes that the ravers feel his passion whilst listening to his sets and hopes they can feel what words cannot describe the music he presents, enjoy the show!

Luigi Madonna and Roberto Capuano's Headquarter on Drumcode brings a direct Techno focus before Space 92 returns with Rekorder on Codex Recordings. Weska's self-released This Time Around and Cosmic Boys' We Are The Future on 1605 keep the early section firmly club-oriented.
The Reactivitz and Tomas Otero's Perseverance on Codex Recordings is followed by Reinier Zonneveld's Eating Concrete in Julian Jeweil's remix for Filth on Acid. Alberto Ruiz and Gaston Zani's Overclock on Stickrecordings, Kevam's Mass Destruction for Reload Black Label and Deborah De Luca's I Go Out rework on Solamente sustain the pressure.
Gerard starts the second hour with Alenor's Roses on Suah Records, introducing Melodic House and Techno alongside Ae:ther's Spektre II for Crosstown Rebels. AVIRA's extended mix of Love Me on Odd One Out and Binaryh's Capella on Black Rose Recordings deepen the melodic thread.
Mathias Kaden follows with Conviction and Substance, both released through Rekids, returning the programme to taut rhythmic material. Helsloot's Searching on Poesie Musik then meets D-Nox, Lonya and DJ Zombi's Fuze in the Citizen Kain & D-formation Remix for BeatFreak Recordings.
Pig&Dan's Existence on ELEVATE provides a final forceful turn before Microtrauma's Curve on Parquet Recordings. Santiago Celasso closes with Eternal for Steyoyoke Black, leaving the programme on its melodic techno edge.
