Esher presents Alternate Method 03 with guest DJ Nomi on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, promoter, DJ agency, and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Esher hails from the northern part of Melbourne, Australia, where he has developed a background in music production and DJing. His work spans trance, techno, dubstep, and DnB, with Mad Zach, Ivy Lab, Noisia, and Imanu among the influences that inform his own distinct sound.
With years of experience in music production and DJing, Esher combines spacious atmospheres, strong basslines, and complex drum patterns. He brings these musical components together in mixes designed to hold the listener's attention.
At the time of publication, Esher was working towards releasing his first album through a label the following year. He was also developing his sound and planned a weekly show to improve his beatmatching through new mixes and engagement with his fan community.
After releasing his debut track, Esher intended to broaden his international reach through work with fellow artists and producers. His focus on new sonic ideas and music production underpins his place within the electronic music scene.
Guest DJ Nomi (second hour)
The guest DJ for this week is Nomi, whose real name is Imon Bhattacharya, a DJ originally from Sydney, Australia but now based in Melbourne, Victoria. Nomi has been residing in Melbourne for the last 3 years and started attending events as soon as he arrived, discovering opportunities to showcase his unique style.
Enthusiastic about the more intense genres of electronic music and anything that allows for wild dancing on the dancefloor, he aimed to introduce others to this aspect of music. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Pendulum, Noisia, and Delta Heavy, he has been performing as a DJ at different events within Melbourne's Drum & Bass scene for the last year, with the goal of getting the audience to rave more energetically.
The opening of Alternate Method 03 establishes a Drum and Bass foundation through Sustance's One Away on Overview Music, Trail's White Goose on Flexout Audio, and Wingz's Resistance on Music Squad. One87 and Bredren's Zombie Run on Flexout Audio and Enei's Ghost Boat on Critical Music extend that opening run.
