Mexican producer and DJ Muuk's first guest show, Scientific Sound Radio Podcast 416, was originally broadcast on Scientific Sound Asia in August 2020. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Muuk' is a Mexican DJ and producer from Mexico City, where he resides, and his journey as a DJ and producer began in 2014. He enrolled at Monnrom Academy to study music production, vinyl, electronic DJ equipment and software, graduating in 2014.
After developing his production skills, he embarked on releases for labels including PL7, Traum Techno and Twisted Freud. His introduction to the contractual side of the music business led him to establish the Mexico City label Mechanic and Tropic.
He plays regular events in his home city and has appeared at festivals across Mexico, including the Mexican Yolotl festival. These appearances allowed him to perform elsewhere in the region, including Costa Rica in 2018 at the Paradise VIP club.
His music reached seventh position in Traxsource's Top 100. He hopes to build on these early successes and perform internationally.
Muuk's Scientific Sound Radio Podcast 416 guest show opens with Nox Vahn and Marsh's Come Together, a Deep House selection on Anjunadeep. Cornucopia's River of Memories on microCastle and Faraday's Aletheia on Eye And Eye then establish the programme's Melodic House and Techno direction.
Jepe's Calypsoul on Engrave LTD brings in Indie Dance before Th Moy's Silar remix of Falling Down returns to melodic house and techno via One Of A Kind. Baham's You Are Simin, released through Abracadabra Music, introduces an Afro House passage.
Alberth and Erly Tepshi's Valhalla on Eleatics Records is followed by Baset's Monarke and SEVN remix of Oceana on Inner Symphony. Shiffer's The Final Bliss on Sum Over Histories and Paul Anthonee's Madrigal on SMTC Underground keep the central section focused on melodic house and techno.
Mental Order and Tim Othy's Corrosivo on Awen Records gives way to Kevin de Vries' Dragon of Eden on Virgo. Felix Raphael and Yannek Maunz's Niko Schwind remix of Shifted Frequencies on Peace Peter Records then leads into Brian Cid's We Will Rise on Endangered.
Melawati's Tale Of Us remix of Daliah on Ellum closes this melodic house and techno sequence before High On Mars' Bardeeya remix of The Power Plant on Siona Records changes the emphasis. Sean and Dee with Melody Stranger's Apollo on FSOE UV and D-Nox, Lonya and DJ Zombi's Red Light Stories on Einmusika Recordings move through Progressive House.
Colyn's The Future Is the Past on DGTL returns to indie dance, followed by Noissier's Lucid Dream on Einmusika Recordings. Robag Wruhme's Yes on Kompakt Extra and Marino Canal's Unfold on Afterlife Records bring the programme to a close with melodic house and techno.
