Gerard presents The Hit List 42 on Scientific Sound Asia, in a programme first published in August 2020. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Gerard is a Deep House, Deep Tech, Tech House and Techno producer and DJ from Angeles City in the United States. He has a deep passion for electronic music and a method of creating it.
His style of play and production expresses his ambition to contribute to House music culture and its wider reach. At the time of publication, he was developing his profile as an international artist.
In 2020, Gerard had returned to Florida, USA, after a period in South East Asia and worked with the Scientific Sound Asia DJ agency. He was also Nu-Disco manager for Brasbeat, described as Latin America's first and only digital source for electronic music, and hosted a regular podcast and mix show featuring his monthly charted music.
Gerard's The Hit List 42 episode opens with Robbie Doherty's Groove Line on SURA Music, setting out a Deep Tech House foundation. WEIRD.'s Gravity on Whoyostro and Bassel Darwish's Last Night on MUSE follow before Richard Ulh and Rendher's Talk Of The Town on Solid Grooves Records changes the emphasis.
Luuk van Dijk and Wheats' U Trippin leads into Josh Kalker, VLTRA and Francis De Simone's Automatic, a Tech House cut on Material. LondonGround's Loco22 on Bamboleo and Mike Morrisey's Mozerati on Whippin return the selection to its deeper club focus.
Reflux's Pressure on Tech City brings a firmer rhythmic edge, followed by Luca Secco and Craftkind's That Bitch on NVDRZ. Latmun's Ready And Willing on Repopulate Mars, Archie B's Big Things on Nuns On Acid and Final Wish (IRE)'s Let Me Know on Tech City sustain the late-set momentum.
GuyMac and Murphy's Law's Psychedelia is followed by Liberty City's Francesco Ferraro remix of If You Really Love Someone. Blue Foundation's Michael Bibi remix of Eyes On Fire then supplies a contrasting vocal-led passage before the final stretch.
Cuartero's What Luv on Hot Creations introduces House Music, while Mason Maynard's Lookin' At Me on Fantazia restores the set's punchier club direction. Missy Elliott's Gagey edit of Pass That Dutch follows, placing a familiar vocal within Gerard's selection.
OPUS (BR)'s Warp Bass (Dub Mix) on KLUBINHO shifts into Peak Time Techno. Emolw's Beverly Hills Cop gives way to Richard Rams' Changes (Original Mix), which closes the programme on a direct dancefloor note.
