Anonymous Z returns alongside guest DJ Cocosova for Anonymous Z's Not So Anonymous 13 show, the thirteenth edition of Not So Anonymous, on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music-news platform connecting underground scenes across Asia and internationally.
Anonymous Z opens the first hour and is well known in Saigon, Vietnam, for founding the Mad Circus Epic party series. An instigator of underground culture, he previously established Bahrain’s first underground DJ community, Glassroom.
Leading a diverse collective of artists and misfits, he organised sanctioned and unsanctioned parties and after-parties that are part of local nightlife folklore. His long-standing motto, “They tried to bury us, but they forgot we were seeds,” speaks to the spirit behind his work.
Later joining the Banana Hustle crew, Anonymous Z helped shape their tropical identity while broadening his own musical scope. Originally rooted in techno, his digging now includes Afro, House, Disco and Funk, joined by selected techno cuts and contemporary Indie Dance, and this range has brought appearances at Arcan, The Lighthouse, Broma and Vitamin D after-parties.
His sets are rarely linear, instead responding to the dancefloor as they move across styles with tension, groove and narrative flow. Heavy basslines, rhythmic pressure and emotionally charged melodies shape an approach that is playful and intense.
For the thirteenth edition of Not So Anonymous, Anonymous Z welcomes Cocosova back for the second hour, where her contribution brings drums, tribal rhythms and seductive grooves together with Nu-Disco and House. Together, Not So Anonymous 13 moves from shadowy underground energy towards rhythm-led, body-focused dancefloor music.
Not So Anonymous 13 opens with Statue and Edward Francis’s Christian S remix of Scratching The Surface on LTP, bringing an Electronica edge to the programme. Trinidadian Deep’s Long Way Home follows on Promo, before Eclectics’ North Of The Island remix of Softest Rebound appears via Bandcamp.
Alma Negra’s Rainer Trueby and Corrado Bucci Present Truccy remix of Burkina Berlin on Basic Fingers settles into Deep House territory. Longhair’s As We Travel on Bordello A Parigi then brings the set towards Indie Dance.
Lovers’ Jacques Renault Bk Club Version of Sweetest Thing on Let’s Play House introduces House Music with a club-focused feel. Matthew Bandy’s Heavy Vibes Mix of Collecting My Groove on Deepermotions, Mary Boyoi’s Tama Sumo remix of Zooz and Yolanda Be Cool and D Cup’s Soul Makossa (Money), both on Süd Electronic, hold that rhythmic direction.
Nicolo Simonelli and Oniwax take the programme into Afro House through Mama Yeye on Obenmusik. Kiko Navarro and DJ Fudge’s Cosmic Dub of Babalu Aye on Yoruba Records and Pillowtalk and Gustavo Lobo’s Kellerkind remix of Gonna Be With You on Bar 25 Music extend the percussive focus.
Newman (I Love)’s The Tale Of The Ouroboros on Do Not Sit On The Furniture Records brings an Organic House turn after Wolfram featuring Haddaway’s Moscoman remix of My Love Is For Real on DFA Records SC Distribution. Damian Lazarus and The Ancient Moons’ Trouble At The Seance on Crosstown Rebels keeps the later section focused on a darker club atmosphere.
Butch’s Bepsi on Watergate Records introduces Tech House, followed by The Rejected’s Springboard When You Least Expect on Minimum Zax LTD. Supermax closes the sequence with Smoove’s remix of African Blood on Universal Music GmbH, Austria.

Guest DJ (second hour) Cocosova.
This week’s guest DJ for the second hour is Cocosova, a Russian DJ known for her soulful taste and wide-ranging underground selections. She previously held residencies at Jagger Bar, Neft Lounge, Matur Lounge and Lulu Rest, and has appeared at events such as the Pavlovka One Love Festival and the Shihan Dance Competition in Russia, bringing together floor-focused music from across global dance cultures.
Rooted in old-school Black music, Cocosova’s approach blends soul, groove and rhythm in a way that sets her apart within the eclectic dance music scene. A former finalist in Russia’s DJ Battle, she is drawn to funky and groove-led sounds, shaping sets that move fluidly through House, Disco, Funk and Tribal influences, while also exploring darker and more exotic territories when the moment calls for it.
Since relocating to Vietnam in 2019, Cocosova has continued to build her presence within the regional underground, staying true to her core mission of sharing carefully selected, taste-driven dance music. Her guest mix for this episode reflects that balance of warmth, rhythm and depth, offering a confident and expressive journey through groove-focused underground sounds.
The first hour opens with Anonymous Z playing a smooth, exploratory tone as Scratching The Surface and Long Way Home establish an electronic and Afro House framework built on warmth and subtle groove. From here, Balearic textures and relaxed rhythms begin to surface, creating an inviting atmosphere that feels both reflective and dancefloor-ready.
As the mix develops, Deep House selections like Burkina Berlin and Collecting My Groove deepen the pulse, while Nu Disco and House cuts such as As We Travel and Sweetest Thing add movement and lift. This section balances soulful musicality with understated club energy, leading naturally into the classic House feel of Soul Makossa (Money).
Cocosova’s second hour shifts the focus toward organic, rhythm-led storytelling. Afro House cuts like Mama Yeye and Gonna Be With You introduce ceremonial percussion and hypnotic repetition, supported by the dubby depth of Babalu Aye and the earthy flow of The Tale Of The Ouroboros.
The closing stretch leans into darker, more stripped-back territory as Indie Dance and Minimal Tech selections such as My Love Is For Real and Springboard When You Least Expect tighten the groove. The episode concludes with African Blood and Trouble At The Seance, leaving a grounded, late-night mood that ties together global rhythms, underground house and atmospheric club culture.
