El Brujo, born Robert Milanesi in Italy during the 1960s, developed a strong passion for music from a young age. In the early 1990s, he gained recognition as a pioneer of underground Techno and House Music events in Bologna, Italy.
In 2008, he made his debut with the track Warriors on the Milan-based label Open Legs. Two years later, he launched Jambalay Records at Club Geminis in Ibiza harbour, Spain.
El Brujo and Jambalay Records received attention when Maya Jane Coles included their work in her February Chart 2011. His collaboration with Big Mojo, Mozambique, appeared on the debut physical CD release Nutty Fellas Are Go.
In January 2019, El Brujo's Plastic Dreams, initially released on Frameworkxx, reached number 33 in Beatport's Hard Techno top 100. His music has also appeared through Elektrax, Frame Workxx, LW Recordings, Subwoofer, Berlin After Dark, Music Is The Drug, Gobekli Tepe, Fortwin Rec, Bunker, Mad Rhythm, SE7ENS and Physical Techno, among others.
El Brujo's sound has been described in cosmic and interstellar terms, forming part of his artistic identity. Across the electronic styles he explores, his productions retain an unfiltered and authentic approach to musical innovation.
At the time of publication, El Brujo planned to bring a guest DJ each month from his group of Techno and House Music producers and artists known as the Wild Bunch. This episode presents promos and tracks selected from his team of musicians and friends.
Guest DJ (first hour) Reinoud van Toledo.
Reinoud van Toledo is a DJ and Producer from The Netherlands who started DJ-ing the clubs and producing in the early 90s. He had his first releases in 1995 on the legendary labels ID&T records and Outland records.
In 2014 he did a collaboration with Amsterdam's finest Techno DJ Dimitri and had a big release on Carl Craigs Planet E-Communications. After some years of making Techno, he returned to his old love of House Music.
He has countless releases on labels like Stiletto Records, Kolour Recordings, Silhouette Records, Jambalay Records, and Frame Workxx Records. Most recently he released his new album Boogie Bar on Italy's Kattivo Records.
Guest DJ Jack Delhi (second hour)
Jack Delhi, the man with the golden smile from Amsterdam has been in love with music since he was a little kid. When in diapers he was already wearing dad's headphones and has not lived without music since.
Passion for the turntables however came a bit later in 2005 when he met Manual a.k.a Point Perspective who is often seen in the lineup with Benny Rodriguez. He taught him all the ins and outs of DJing and after becoming a resident at the popular events Vriendjespolitiek and House Your Day in 2015 Jack Delhi started to become a well-known DJ.
He has performed throughout the Netherlands playing at some largest festivals like We are Electric, Paaspop, Lake Dance and rocking the decks of all major clubs in Amsterdam weekly. When he was finally spinning at events and gigs on a weekly basis, he started producing with his buddy Reinoud van Toledo creating some bangers like New Berlin, Everything will be just fine, She Said and Gangster talk which was featured in this show.
Jack Delhi is a DJ full of energy, enthusiasm and energy and is a born entertainer who will let the crowd go wild with his Tech House sound which he mixes up with nice vocals and house classics, enjoy the show!
Reinoud van Toledo and Jack Delhi present a guest mix with Reinoud van Toledo in the first hour and Jack Delhi in the second hour. Reinoud van Toledo opens with Boogie Bar, placing the programme inside House Music through the Kattivo Records material and its confirmed House release context.
We Came To Boogie Tonight keeps the opening section close to the same club-centred sound, using a title and rhythm that point towards a direct dancefloor structure. Desert Dance then widens the first hour into Afro House, adding a more percussive and regionally coloured movement within the Jambalay Records catalogue.
Dubai Nights returns Reinoud van Toledo’s section to House, linking the early material through steady groove and clean club arrangement. Ricky Sinz’s Looped appears in Reinoud Van Toledo’s Heavenly Remix, introducing Soulful House through a warmer and more vocal-minded interpretation.
Bliss and Realm move the hour into Deep House, matching Outland Records’ deeper electronic identity and giving the middle section a smoother tone. Pier Giorgio Marini’s Disappear then receives a Reinoud van Toledo remix that brings the rhythm back towards House without breaking the reflective mood.
Paulo Del Prete’s 11:11 Step in the Reinoud van Toledo Prince Radio Mix introduces Classic House, adding a more traditional club reference to the first hour. My Close Soul follows with another Soulful House placement, keeping the vocal and emotional texture present within the sequence.
Mauro Novani’s My House receives a Reinoud van Toledo remix that brings the hour back to a direct House framework. 70's Slang then moves into Disco House through its retro title, Kattivo Records setting and likely funk-derived rhythmic profile.
Groove Me closes Reinoud van Toledo’s hour with Funky House, adding a brighter and more bass-led finish. The first hour works as a focused artist showcase, moving from House into deeper, soulful, afro and disco-toned material without losing its club structure.
Jack Delhi opens the second hour with Everything Will Be Just Fine, a Kattivo Records collaboration with Reinoud van Toledo that returns the programme to House. Arp Of Dreams then shifts into Tech House, using the title’s synth reference and Outland Records setting to support a firmer electronic direction.
New Berlin keeps the second hour in Tech House, with the title suggesting a more stripped and European club feel. Posaune follows on Jambalay Records, keeping the rhythm tight while adding a brass-led reference that gives the section a more distinctive character.
Like that, Love That returns Jack Delhi and Reinoud van Toledo to House, softening the hour after the Tech House opening. Summer Vibes keeps that direction in place, with the unreleased status fitting the legacy transfer while still sitting naturally within their shared House and Deep House catalogue profile.
Summer is A Magic Thing extends the House section through another warm and melodic Jambalay Records collaboration. In My Soul then moves back into Deep House, drawing on the title’s emotional tone and the pair’s regular blend of House and deeper club material.
Funky Pills introduces a Funky House turn, adding a brighter and more playful late-hour cut from the unreleased material. Say What and Contraction then move the second hour back into Tech House, tightening the groove and giving the closing stretch a more direct club rhythm.
Don't Go Away closes the guest mix with a House-centred collaboration between Jack Delhi and Reinoud van Toledo. The episode moves from Reinoud van Toledo’s first-hour catalogue showcase into Jack Delhi’s second-hour collaborations, joining House, Tech House, Deep House, Soulful House and Funky House into one producer-focused guest mix.
