Rumesh, real name Rumesh Peiris, is a Sri Lankan DJ and host of the Petrichor podcast series. Working within Sri Lanka's underground music movement, he has a particular affinity for Progressive House.
He established Petrichor, which developed into a radio podcast series with an international audience. Rumesh hosts international talent each week, and the second hour of this week's programme was linked to the previous week's show.

This weeks guest DJ is Darin Zilla, Darin Zilla is a young, creative and ambitious disc jockey and originates from Sri Lanka. Darin has recently launched his own series of podcasts called Soul Explanation, which aims not only to promote well-known Artists but also young and upcoming DJs and their productions.
Darin is gathering pace and performing in the nightclubs and venues around Sri Lanka and has completely immersed himself in the genre of Progressive House. Furthermore, Darin in the coming year is planning to start promoting bigger nights after a series of successful parties on the island.
The playlist opens with Lucas Rodriguez's Southvibes in Teiao's remix on INU, before Julian Nates follows with Rennaissance on Particles. Both selections establish the progressive house direction with extended mixes and measured momentum.
Bootes Gray's Healing Trip, remixed by Tomas Tejeda for Balkan Connection, leads into Dhany G's Homero on Soundteller Records. The pairing keeps the set focused on progressive house while bringing two distinct label settings into the early stretch.
Cid Inc.'s Turning Pages appears in Alex O'Rion's Marathon Edit on Replug, followed by Acumen's R.O.D in the Hernan Cattaneo and Lonya remix. Michael A then contributes Twinkling Stars in Matter's remix, issued through Proton Music.
D-Formation's Sian on Beatfreak is followed by Odisey, his collaboration with Rick Pier O'Neil for the same label. Franco Tejedor closes the listed sequence with Little Butterfly on Droid9, rounding out the selection with another progressive house record.
