Anonymous Z presents the playlist for his ninth Scientific Sound Asia show with guest DJ Moth1. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Taking the first hour, Anonymous Z is best known in Saigon, Vietnam, as the founder of the legendary Mad Circus Epic parties, a movement that played a formative role in shaping the city’s underground nightlife. An organiser of creative mayhem to the core, he also established Bahrain’s first underground DJ collective, Glassroom, and, leading a diverse group of artists, ravers and music lovers, orchestrated official and unofficial parties and after-parties still remembered as defining moments in the local scene.
Guided by his motto, “They tried to bury us, but they forgot we were seeds,” he later joined the Banana Hustle crew, helping to develop their vibrant, tropical and high-energy identity. Although originally rooted in Techno, Anonymous Z gradually cultivated a passion for digging across genres, unearthing distinctive records spanning Afro, House, Disco and Funk.
He balances this with selections of contemporary Techno and emerging Indie Dance. His reputation as a sharp and instinctive selector has earned him performances at key underground venues such as Arcan, The Lighthouse, and the legendary Broma and Vitamin D after-parties.
His sets are characteristically non-linear and largely improvised, shaped in real time by the dancefloor rather than following a fixed structure. Moving fluidly across styles, his sound is defined by tense, groove-driven basslines, cinematic melodies and emotionally charged storytelling that holds audiences’ attention from start to finish.
Guest DJ (second hour) Moth1.
This week’s guest DJ for the second hour is Moth1, real name Sivaraj Pragasm, a Singapore-based DJ and filmmaker. He describes his practice not simply as mixing records, but as assembling sonic elements in order to generate entirely new auditory experiences.
Trained professionally as a cinematographer, his approach to DJing is deeply visual in nature. His sets are rich in imagery, atmosphere and narrative flow, often feeling more like moving through a cinematic landscape than a conventional club mix. Listeners are frequently drawn into a moody, futuristic space reminiscent of films such as Blade Runner, where sound, texture and emotion merge into a single, immersive experience.
Moth1’s selections tend to prioritise mood, tension and spatial depth, allowing each track to breathe while gradually building layers of sonic detail. The result is a hypnotic journey that blurs the line between music, sound design and visual storytelling, making his appearance on this week’s show a compelling contrast to Anonymous Z’s dancefloor-driven first hour.

Between them, S.V.R.A’s Signal Of Soul on Affin brings Breaks, while Dawn Razor’s Psyk Cinematic Version of Shantor, also on Affin, restores the techno focus. Petar Dundov’s Distant Shores on Music Man Records gives way to Polar Inertia’s Vertical Ice on Dement3d Records, where raw, deep and hypnotic Techno becomes more prominent in Anonymous Zs last tracks
In Moth1's second hour Ryogo Yamamori featuring Charlotta Kerbs’ Suzumushi in the Spirits Of Forests Mix on 951Beat precedes Valentino Mora’s Hualien on IDM Records / Cosmo Rhythmatic, Leonardo’s 500 Years From Now and Petit Astronaute’s Cosmic Order, both self-released.
Ruhig’s Nadir on Midgar Records and Exos’ Somnium on Planet X sustain the depth before Etapp Kyle’s Paradigm on Ostgut Ton returns to direct Techno. Reggy Van Oers’ Shunned on Affin leads into Raroh’s Encounters At The End Of The World on Semantica Records, introducing a brief Electronica diversion.
Ryogo Yamamori’s Cashmere Hill on 951Beat sits before Ben Buitendijk’s Ouroboros on Oblique Music and Bas Mooy’s Zeis on Mord Records, both returning to the set’s deep techno current. Go Hiyama’s Radial Remix of Ubiquity on Audio Assault raises the intensity, then Trudge’s Страсть on Lobster Theremin brings another break in the rhythmic pattern.
Shifted’s Moving Towards The Exits on Avian and Regis’ Everything Is Ahead Of Us on Downwards keep the closing stretch austere and forceful. Ntogn’s Pray To The Eagle God on Hypnus Records and Flug’s Berlin on Suara lead to Forest On Stasys’ Suspicacia on Semantica Records, ending on an Ambient note.
