DJ Marco Mei presents his 2020 episode 22 show, originally aired on Saturday 6 June, on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, promoter, DJ agency and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Originally from Turin, Italy, Marco is a DJ and producer whose career spans more than three decades. During his teens, an interest in Afrocentric music developed into a lasting interest in electronic music, and he began working professionally in the early 1990s while touring Italy with Urban People.
His reputation later brought appearances at festivals and nightclubs internationally. Marco has shared bills with Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Ralph Falcon and Sander Kleinenberg.
In the early 2000s, a residency at Pacha Club in Sharm-El-Sheikh led to further international work. His venue appearances include Observatory in Saigon, Fuse in Brussels, CE' LA VI in Taipei, Shore Club in Hoi An, Bangaluu in Berlin, G-Star in Pattaya, Woobar in Bali and Global Dance Moscow, where he worked alongside prominent artists.
Marco and Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, formed the production duo Bicycle Corporation in 2009. The partnership has produced more than 50 tracks and remixes and gained international recognition.
After establishing Bicycle Corporation, Marco moved to East Asia and settled in Taipei, Taiwan, at the beginning of the 2010s. He became part of the Scientific Sound Asia team of DJs and producers and works across a wider South East Asian network.
Marco’s weekly show covers Deep House, Tech House, Afro House, Melodic Techno, Nu-Disco, Indie Dance, Electronica and Techno. Based in Taipei, he is available for international bookings through the Scientific Sound Asia DJ agency, while his weekly programme broadcasts through its radio station.

ANIMOTION’s James Rod re-edit of Obsession, Mylo and Claptone’s Purple Disco Machine remix of Drop The Pressure, and Muttomheads’ To You extend the early club-focused run.
Demi Riquísimo’s Love Russia on Homage introduces the middle section, followed by Disco Dandies and Leon Ware’s Inside Your Love (2 People) on High Fashion Music. Flashmob’s Deeper Underground on Glasgow Underground keeps the programme rooted in House Music.
Mirco Caruso’s edit of King Of My Castle is followed by John Julius Knight and Roland Clark’s Marco Lys Extended Remix of This Is House. Tom Caruso and Odyssey Inc.’s Everybody Dancin on Glasgow Underground and Rony Seikaly with Black Circle’s What For keep the rhythm direct before the later changes in tone.
Daniel Rateuke and AWEN bring Gold on Kanté into Afro House, while Klein & M.B.O.’s Dirty Talk in the 1983 Warehouse Edit on Essential Media Mod adds Italo-Disco. Agent Stereo’s Cold Cream on La Casa Recordings then supplies a Funky House lift.
Sandy B’s Ryan Blyth remix of Make The World Go Round on Champion Records returns to House Music before HP Vince featuring Silvio Gigante presents You Make Me Feel on Music Toys Records, a Disco moment. M People’s MK Movin’ Mix of Moving On Up on Deconstruction completes this late stretch with a familiar vocal-house reference.
Jayda G’s Both of Us on Ninja Tune keeps the closing section in House Music. Javonntte’s JT Donaldson remix of Fall In Love Again provides the final selection, ending the show with a vocal-led club record.
