Secret Underground presented episode 02 with guest DJ Laura on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Secret Underground is a record label and event management company originating from Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is a small island in the Indian Ocean with one of the region’s largest audiences for Progressive House and underground music.
The initial vision of Secret Underground’s management was to unite people around the world through music. Founder Pasindu Dilhara began Secret Underground as a Facebook page for sharing electronic music posts, before it became a Mixcloud podcast and record label supporting DJs in Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka’s early rave scene developed a strong appetite for electronic music, and the crew has presented it to its listeners. At the time of publication, Secret Underground promoted secret underground events in Sri Lanka while running its podcast in association with Scientific Sound Asia radio.
The crew planned to develop the Secret Underground brand internationally. That ambition aimed to connect artists and music enthusiasts within the underground dance music world.

This week’s guest DJ is LAURA, whose real name is Laura Calleja, a 21-year-old from the sunny island of Malta. She has held a passion for music since childhood.
In 2019, she decided to express that interest through music and began attending DJ lessons. She had attended many parties featuring local and foreign DJs, and her dream was to join them and share her music to people.
Laura gives thanks to the people who supported her transition into DJing and helped her succeed. She recognises that there is always room for improvement, regardless of how much she has learnt.
Her musical development has included Tech House, Melodic House, Progressive House and Techno, although Progressive House was her preferred style. By this point, she had contributed guest mixes to radio shows internationally, and Secret Underground welcomed her for this guest mix.
Secret Underground episode 02 with DJ Laura opens with Claudio Ricci’s Yano in the Brigado Crew Remix on Stripped Down Records, followed by Innellea’s Anailuj on TAU. Innellea’s Escaping Nambaka on Hosted reinforces the early Afro House direction.
Babayaga and Josh Blackwell’s Tribal Spirit on Syncopate Afterhours shifts into Progressive House, with Nishan Lee’s Voice of Ella on Stellar Fountain extending the mood. Mabiisi’s Armonica Remix of Baakoya on MoBlack Records then brings Afro House back into the set.
Dmitry Molosh’s Ambition on Sudbeat Music and Sohrab G.’s Cover Us on Soundteller Records hold the Progressive House line. Hyenah’s You Made Me Who I Am on Rise Music precedes Brigado Crew and Crisstiano’s Zulu on Diynamic, introducing Melodic House and Techno.
FMENEZS’s Subandrio Remix of Appear Sun on Stellar Fountain leads into HIGHLITE’s Palmira on Art Vibes Music and Stylo and Kintar’s Shivaya on Timeless Moment. Chris Staropoli’s How Long on BeatFreak Recordings and DJ San’s Stan Kolev Remix of Mama Africa on Pino Music give way to Sébastien Léger’s La Danse du Scorpion on Einmusika Recordings, closing in Deep House territory.
