Anonymous Z presents Not So Anonymous episode 02 with guest DJ Camille Rodriguez on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Anonymous Z is widely recognised in Saigon, Vietnam, as the founder of the Mad Circus Epic parties. Known for creating organised chaos at the heart of the underground, he previously established Bahrain’s first underground DJ community, Glassroom.
Leading a tight-knit group of misfits from around the world, he hosted legal and unofficial parties and after-parties that are still remembered within the local nightlife. His guiding mantra at the time was, “They tried to bury us, but they forgot we were seeds.”
After joining the Banana Hustle crew and their energetic tropical flavour, he broadened his musical approach beyond his original devotion to Techno. He developed a strong interest in digging distinctive selections across Afro House, Disco and Funk, complementing them with carefully chosen Techno and more recent Indie Dance.
His work as a selecta has brought him to key Vietnamese underground venues including Arcan, The Lighthouse, Broma and Vitamin D after-parties. His sets are often improvised and non-linear, shaped by the dance floor and built across a wide range of styles.
Tense, groovy basslines, expressive storytelling melodies and a playful sense of emotion are essential to the Anonymous Z sound. Those elements give his selections both movement and contrast without losing their club focus.

The second edition of Not So Anonymous delivers two hours of Techno, with Anonymous Z setting the tone before guest artist Camille Rodriguez takes over. Positioned at the fringes of a network he sees as overly predictable, Camille works from a personal approach rooted in integrity, generosity and commitment to his craft.
A tireless creator who moves beyond familiar dance-floor codes, he favours curves, breaks and fluid transitions over rigid patterns. His live performances are physical and melodic, with dramatic energy and an instinctive relationship to music that stays focused rather than unfettered.
Camille blends analogue and digital devices through controlled improvisation, rhythmic movement and moments of soaring lyricism. His releases include work for Timid Records, Btrax and, more recently, Scandium Records, while his performances have taken him to Astropolis and Rex Club.
Anonymous Z’s Not So Anonymous episode 02 with Camille Rodriguez opens with Camille Rodriguez’s Traumer remix of Andalucian 2.0 on A-Traction Records, establishing the firm rhythmic pressure of Peak Time Techno. Max Cooper and Patrice Baumel’s Organa in Patrice Baumel’s “Balance” remix on Balance Music then broadens the opening before Maxime Dangles’ Dysnoptik on Kompakt restores a sharper, more insistent line.
Camille Rodriguez’s One Night With Wagner and Manuel-M’s Yokai, both on A-Traction Records, keep the first passage taut and percussive. Christian Bonori’s Arno Gonzalez remix of Hamal on A-Traction Records leads into Guy Gerber and Sahar Z’s Mike Monday remix of Kenny’s Back on Bedrock Records, before Paul Nazca’s Truncate remix of Under the Map on Skryptöm Records supplies the toughest impact of Anonymous Z’s opening hour.
Camille Rodriguez takes over with Levon Vincent’s And It Don’t Change on Novel Sound, bringing a warmer strain of House Music into the programme. Rob Acid’s Dear Maria-Sabina on Studio !K7 and Catching Flies and DJ Seinfeld’s Drum Mix of Silver Linings on Catching Flies Music add broken rhythmic detail before James Welsh’s Rubber Dog on Futureboogie Recordings tightens the pressure again.
Erol Alkan’s Special Request Kaleidoscopic Mix of Spectrum on Phantasy Sound brings textural detail, followed by Kaczmarek’s Museum Remix of 3333 and Voltaire’s Fading Lights, both on A-Traction Records. Vladimir Dubyshkin’s Rural Woman on Trip Records shifts the mood towards raw, deep and hypnotic techno, without abandoning the programme’s direct rhythmic focus.
Juxta Position’s Enlightenment on Fauxpas Musik and Amotik’s Ellen Allien remix of Tetalis on BPitch Control raise the tension through closely controlled, hypnotic patterns. Earth Trax’s I’m Not Afraid on Shall Not Fade introduces a brief Breaks detour that changes the pulse without disrupting Camille Rodriguez’s direction.
Amotik’s Satrah on Amotik Records closes the episode with a return to concentrated, sculpted techno. The final pairing gives Not So Anonymous episode 02 a measured finish, balancing Anonymous Z’s focused opening with Camille Rodriguez’s more varied second-hour selection.
