Sri Lankan DJ Vishnu presents The Eternal Energy 02 on Scientific Sound Asia, with Kryptone in the first hour and VegaZ (SL) in the second. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Published for 23 April 2020, the second edition brought Vishnu together with a selection of Sri Lankan guests for a bi-weekly programme. The show focused on deep and progressive electronic music, giving each contributor room to present their own approach.
The programme placed Vishnu's signature style alongside the influences and musical ideas of the invited DJs. Its selections moved through melodic progressions and hypnotic rhythms associated with deep and Progressive House music.
Each broadcast was intended as a distinct listening experience for people drawn to these detailed electronic styles. The series also highlighted the work of Vishnu and his collaborators within Sri Lanka's underground music community.
The bi-weekly sessions explored new tracks, exclusive mixes and developments within the deep and progressive scenes. Through the programme, artists and listeners could meet around a shared interest in electronic music.
Guest DJ (first hour) Kryptone.
This week's first guest for the first hour is none other than Kryptone, the artist name of Iraj Rangika. He began DJing at the age of seventeen, when his early experiences behind the turntables developed into a lasting commitment to music.
Within a short period of time, Kryptone established a place in the underground music scene through his enthusiasm and the distinctive vibes he creates. His work draws listeners into a musical world shaped by detailed production and a personal approach to DJing.
Kryptone's sound combines Progressive music with Techno, an approach heard in both his productions and DJ sets. His work is built around intricate beats and melodic layers, with sets designed to hold attention through changes in rhythm and texture.
Since the beginning of his career, he has produced tunes and made podcasts, showing his versatility across different formats. His Mind Palace podcast series received attention from Sri Lankan underground music listeners and helped establish his position in the local scene.
The series demonstrates his knowledge of music culture in Sri Lanka as well as the wider international scene. At the time of publication, he was among the most discussed emerging DJs in party locations including Colombo and Negombo.

Guest DJ (second hour) VegaZ (SL).
This week's second guest (second hour) is none other than VegaZ, known as Asintha a.k.a VegaZ (SL), was born in Sri Lanka in 1994. His interest in music developed into a serious involvement with electronic music and DJing.
He first began DJing in 2009, prompted by his growing interest in electronic music. This interest soon became a commitment to being a Disc Jockey.
From those early days, VegaZ has worked on the craft of mixing and on the details of sound. He experiments with and combines different genres, producing sets that move beyond conventional stylistic boundaries.
At his first event, UNDER THE SOUTH in 2015, VegaZ presented his distinctive style to an audience and made an early impression. That appearance set the basis for further work at events that were presented to international standards. international standard events
He has performed at BOOKA BOOKA, described as Sri Lanka's biggest underground musical event, alongside other artists. VegaZ has also appeared at sessions including Sounds Of Hell and Techno Forest, where his sets reached local electronic music audiences.
His experience includes numerous residencies across Sri Lanka, each contributing to his development as an artist. With years of experience, he has also moved into producing his music, extending the ways in which he can express his ideas.
Since the start of his career, VegaZ has wanted to create an atmosphere in which people can enjoy the music they hear while he works in the DJ booth. That wish to connect through music has guided the way he develops and presents his sound.
At the time of publication, VegaZ (SL) was making an impact within the Sri Lankan music community and beyond through his mixes and performances. His work illustrates the connection between an artist, a local scene and the people who gather around the music.
The opening selections pair Erdi Irmak's What Could Have Been on Songspire Records with Volen Sentir's Elemental on Lost & Found, setting Melodic House and Techno beside progressive movement. Roy Rosenfeld's What Happened To Me, released through Rumors, extends that melodic emphasis before the set settles further into Progressive House.
Hermanez and Eran Aviner's First Touch on Edge leads into DJ Arturo's Future Call from Capital Heaven, maintaining the programme's measured club focus. The Muhammads' Hayrus on Revolt Music and Nacres' Zero from Bonzai Progressive add further progressive weight without breaking the first section's pace.
D.Gol'man's Agraba provides a brief central passage before Sudhaus and The Wash return to the confirmed progressive direction with White Cube on YOMO Records. Zone + M.O.S.'s Flowers On Monday remix of Native Therapy follows as the set opens into its next phase.
Massimo Lippoli's Dougne Te Soye and Darksidevinyl's Babalih, both on Go Deeva Records, introduce the programme's Afro House passage. Space Food's Kunufa on Heinz Music then restores the melodic House and Techno thread with a more expansive electronic texture.
Stan Kolev's extended mix of Ahimsa gives way to Matan Caspi's Prophecy on Outta Limits, keeping the later stretch firmly progressive. Tali Muss follows with Irreversible on Lowbit, maintaining the controlled rhythmic pressure established by the earlier selections.
Dizharmonia's Cherouveim on Timeless Moment revisits melodic House and Techno before Gabriel Filip's Arctic on Superordinate Music directs the programme back towards Progressive House. Rauschhaus and Mel7em's Stan Kolev remix of Silk Road on Outta Limits leads into Unseen. featuring S.PHIA's Fall Into Place, bringing the set to a composed close.
