Hartojo, also known as Daniel Wiess, presents his second guest show on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.

Educated at Stammheim Kassel during Aufschwung Ost at the end of the millennium, Hartojo soon began producing music and moved to Berlin. His first releases appeared on Pulsar Records, while his first live performance took place at Icon club in 2006.

He began DJing in 2009 and has played at clubs including Sisyphos, Suicide Circus, Kosmonaut, Kitkat, and Birgit & Beer. In 2013, he secured his first European Union booking, followed by his first international booking in Nevada's Burning Man desert in 2014.

In subsequent years, he played every Burning Man Regional event he attended in South Africa, Spain, the Netherlands, Switzerland, France, the UK and Germany. His festival appearances include Fusion Festival in Germany, Rave the Castle in Luxembourg and Block Rave in Germany.

Hartojo released his first record on Superstrobe's IU2U label in 2015, followed by releases on Lauter Unfug alongside artists including Township Rebellion, Channel X and Beatamines. At the end of 2015, he also established the music blog itsoundsfuture.com with the aim of covering the electronic music scene in all its facets.

Hartojo and his contributors write about electronic music, festivals, events, technology and Burning Man. In 2017, he partnered with his friend Mon Groove, a Suicide Circus resident for more than a decade who has been active in the scene since the early 1990s, to establish Fehler Musik.

At the time of this broadcast, Fehler Musik released new music monthly by artists including Andre Crom, Skober, Lützenkirchen, Christian Hornbostel and Elmar Strathe. This mix includes Hartojo's original tracks and remixes, alongside music from Fehler Musik.

The programme opens with Mon Groove's Mechanism Control in Hartojo's remix on Fehler-Musik, establishing a Techno foundation. Interflug's 4200 in the MORE ACID Mix follows before Hexer's Ascension and Ernest Kalinin's Bursa.

Christian Hornbostel's Kenaz leads into Erhalder's Tomis Line during the first section. Hartojo then returns with The Elevator in Skober's remix on Fehler-Musik, followed by Haenk B.'s Diletory Tactics and Nobots' Drive.

BB Deng's Silent Battle precedes Distorted Planet's Faccia Staccata, keeping the selection centred on electronic club material. DJ Wank's Acidic Restraint and Erhalder's Volca PinUps in the TWR72 remix extend that middle passage.

ANtI (DE)'s 400 Rabbits arrives before Hartojo's The Quantum Field_Mastering and Hc Kurtz's NoenD. Christian Hornbostel's Ogham, ANtI (DE)'s The Hedonist and Tolax's The Convergence carry the set towards its final stretch.

Sebastian Fleischer's Not to Cry in the Lützenkirchen remix, released on Colore, introduces Melodic House and Techno to the later sequence. Sam Junk's Acid Reality follows before Nobots' Take A Trip in Mon Groove's remix.

Sam Junk's In the Air gives the final section another appearance from the Fehler Musik catalogue. Henning Richter's Dust closes the programme after a set that brings Hartojo's own work, collaborators and label connections into the selection.
