El Brujo and guest Pablo Pitch feature in Scientific Sound Asia podcast 170, El Brujo and the Wild Bunch, a Techno show. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, promoter, DJ agency and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
El Brujo, whose real name is Robert Milanesi, was born in Italy in 1964 and developed an early attachment to music. In 1994, he became known as one of the founding figures of Bologna's underground rave scene, and his first official release was 2008's Warriors on Milan label Open Legs.
His label, Jambalay Records, launched at its opening party at Club Geminis in Ibiza Harbour, Spain, in 2010. The label and El Brujo reached a worldwide audience when the legendary Maya Jane Coles charted his collaboration with Big Mojo, ‘Mozambique’, in her February Chart 2011, and the track became his first physical CD release, Nutty Fellas Are Go.
In January 2019, his release, Plastic Dreams, originally released on Frame Works, reached number 33 in Beatport's Hard Techno Top 100. El Brujo has released on Elektrax, Frame Workxx, LW Recordings, Subwoofer, Berlin After Dark, Music Is The Drug, Gobekli Tepe, Fortwin Rec, Bunker, Mad Rhythm, SE7ENS, Physical Techno, Professional Rockstars, Serapis, Dublin Xpress, SMR Underground, Hypnotic Skull, Underground Media, Konfused Konfliction, Backbeat, Electrified Mindz, Killer Crossover, Oxytech, Profunda Intellectus, Tanira, Society Music, Toxic, MTZ Noir, NACHT, Ahromatiq, Technological, Plusquam, Ushuaia Music and many others.
His work uses a raw approach across the genres he produces, with an interstellar element central to his artistic identity. At the time of publication, the Wild Bunch programme brought in guest DJs from El Brujo's group of Techno producers and artists each week.

That week's second-hour guest was Pitch, also known as Pablo Pitch, a Techno producer and DJ from Buenos Aires, Argentina, who was then based in Berlin. His discography spans Minimal, Tech, Deep Tech and Techno releases across many labels, alongside appearances in Europe and internationally.
Pitch prefers to retain a sense of autonomy and let his music speak for itself. His guest hour follows El Brujo's opening selection with a focused run of original mixes and remixes.
The El Brujo and the Wild Bunch podcast 170 opens with El Brujo's Drakkar on Frame Workxx Records, setting out a hard-edged Hard Techno tone. Gianni Piras's Overload, in El Brujo's remix for Jambalay Records, brings in a more measured Melodic House and Techno contrast.
Damien J-R's Acid in El Brujo's remix leads into David Serrano DJ's Convulsion, another El Brujo rework on Jambalay Records. David Serrano DJ's Walking On The Moon and DJ D Redd's Moon Rockets, the latter on FNOOB DiGiTAL, sharpen the programme into Peak Time Techno.
El Brujo then centres the first hour on his own productions, moving from And There Were None on RED CHANNEL RECORDS to Disappear on Jambalay Records. FQTB on Frame Workxx Records, Raw 2 the Bones on Serapis and The Black Swan on Toxic Recordings keep that pressure in place before MaKaJa Gonzales's Between You And Me, remixed by El Brujo for Elektrax Recordings, closes the opening hour.
Pablo Pitch's hour begins with Pitch!'s Darkness in the Van Dexter remix, followed by Andrew Tadd's Detrimental in Pitch!'s remix for RED CHANNEL RECORDS. Jose Baher's Take The Sound on BlackVogue Records and Pablo Caballero and Puncher's Glitch Face, remixed by Pitch!, make way for Pablo Caballero's Trouble, also on BlackVogue Records.
Acid Clubbers' Rainbow on PDD Tamed follows, before Pastor Black's Mineral in the Basstreiber remix shifts the focus towards Sasha Romaniuk's Future on Polygon Record. Gabriel Wnz then supplies three successive cuts: Cheese & Chips and You Are My Ecstasy in the A.P. remix on Refined Format, followed by I Have This Vision on Pure Dope Digital.
MiSiNKi's Awakening in the L4NDR and Greg Denbosa remix opens the final stretch, followed by Modular Phase's Lucid Dreams on Mephyst. Arram's Resonators and Haze-C's No Mercy in Arram's remix, both on Luminar Records, lead into Gregor Size's Road Trip in the Pablo Caballero remix to finish the set.
