Rumesh presents Petrichor episode 71 with first-hour guest Julian Liander on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Rumesh is a Sri Lankan underground DJ with a particular interest in Progressive House. By March 2020, he had established Petrichor as a radio podcast series that hosted international talent each week.
The second hour from the previous week's programme is available as this week's second hour. This edition introduces Julian Liander in the first hour.

The first-hour guest is Julian Liander from Buenos Aires, Argentina, who was born in the mid-1980s and cites Depeche Mode, The Police, Hernan Cattaneo and Gustavo Cerati among his influences. He began producing electronic music in 2017 and works as a DJ, musician, singer, guitarist and bass player.
He has signed original work and remixes with Massive Harmony, Light Side Music and AH Digital. His work has received support from Mariano Mellino, Gui Milani and Patrice Walthery through their podcasts and at parties around the world.
Julian has shared stages with local artists including Jimmy Van M, Martin Tolosa, Sebastian Busto, Gamba, Alex Ros, Gaspar Troncoso and Blas Sanchez. He has also played private parties and delivered sets at Casa Cordoba and the Bahrein, where he takes part in the monthly “In Site” event by Three One Productions.
At the time of this broadcast, Julian was developing new productions and forthcoming shows while hosting “Innerbloom” on TM Radio. His guest mix for Petrichor brought that work to Scientific Sound Asia.
Julian Liander opens with Alfonso Muchacho’s Time Flies before Greenage’s Zenith in the Alfonso Muchacho Remix. The latter brings Progressive House into focus through Stellar Fountain.
Diogo Ribeiro’s Droid, remixed by Hardy Tarek for Movement Recordings, keeps the progressive approach in place. An unidentified selection credited to Mixmag Records then introduces Peak Time Techno before Nicolas Petracca’s I Miss Those Little Things on Per-vurt Records.
Trilucid’s Endless Moment, in Martin Roth’s remix for Perspectives Digital, returns the programme to a progressive-house setting. Alex Nemec and Forniva follow with Astrid in the Paul Angelo and Don Argento Remix, released through Bonzai Progressive.
Soundprank’s Endgame in Stefan Anions’ remix, on A Must Have, leads into Spuri and Andre Bastos’ Alika in the Danito and Athina Remix. Two further unidentified selections, credited to Mixmag Records, close the first-hour sequence with peak-time techno pressure.
