Gerard's The Hit List 26 was first broadcast on Scientific Sound Asia on Tuesday 17 March 2020. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Gerard is a Deep House, Deep Tech, Tech House and Techno producer and DJ from Angeles City in the United States, with a definite passion for electronic music and an individual method of creating it. An emerging international talent, he aims to play a part in House music's future by widening its culture and awareness through his style of play and production.
At the time of publication, Gerard had returned to Florida, USA, after a period in South East Asia, having left China following the virus outbreak, and worked with Scientific Sound Asia's DJ agency. He was also Nu-Disco manager for Brasbeat, Latin America's first and only digital source for electronic music, and hosted a regular podcast and mix show featuring his monthly charted music.
Gerard's The Hit List 26 episode opens with Latch's Frida on Colour and Pitch, establishing a Deep House foundation. Âme's Ry X remix of No War on Innervisions and Township Rebellion's Magna Terram on Stil Vor Talent then bring in Melodic House and Techno textures.
Jey Kurmis follows with Blanche on Hatching Creatures, moving the selection towards Tech House. Local Options' Aron Volta remix of Sun Palace on Moiss Music returns to deeper territory before LeBaron James's Party Starter on Spacedisco Records introduces House Music.
The central stretch includes Harry Romero and Joeski's Sex Poem, Iman Hanzo and Maxine Hardcastle's TheJourney, and Martin Ikin featuring Dope Earth Alien on Get Hype. Cloonee's Like What leads into David Morales featuring Alex Uhlmann's Red Zone Mix of One Race on Nervous Records, keeping the set focused on club-ready material.
Bonetti's My Everything on I Records restores the deeper feel before Brando (US) delivers Feel Good on NONSTOP. AtalaiA and Uner's UNER remix of El Patron on Solar Distance returns to the melodic, techno-facing side of the programme.
Deetech's Red Tide on Basica Recordings introduces Deep Tech House pressure in the later section. Jonk and Spook's Make In Love and Jil Tanner's Mindblow_PN precede Sante Sansone's Shock Delivered on Lapsus Music.
Jansons and Senzala bring Take Me Away on Four Thirty Two before Josh Butler's Right Time on Solid Grooves Records. Gerard closes with Gino Brown featuring Mr. Vince's Cee Elassaad Voodoo Remix of Shay'iNumber, leaving the mix in a percussive club-focused space.
