Rumesh presents Petrichor 65 on Scientific Sound Asia, with D-Vox featured as the first-hour guest DJ. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Rumesh works within underground electronic music and has a strong affinity for Progressive House. His selections favour emotion, atmosphere and gradual development over rapid transitions, using extended passages to build musical narratives.
Driven by this approach, Rumesh launched Petrichor as a radio podcast series for forward-thinking underground sounds. The programme welcomes guest DJs and producers from around the world, giving them room to present extended and expressive sets.

Guest DJ (first hour) D-Vox.
D-Vox is this episode's first-hour guest DJ, the artistic alias of Daniela Rhodes, a DJ, vocalist and lyricist with more than fifteen years of experience across electronic music styles. Her work spans performance, broadcasting and studio activity, with a versatile approach behind the decks and a distinctive use of live vocals in DJ sets.
Her musical path began with hard dance and trance influences, and she developed her early bedroom-mixing skills through inspiration from artists including Tiësto. Over time, her direction broadened to include House, Techno, Progressive, Drum and Bass and related underground styles.
This openness to genre is a defining part of D-Vox's sound, enabling her to adapt to different dancefloor settings while retaining a recognisable identity. Her sets move between styles without losing attention to the mood of the room.
Alongside DJing, D-Vox is recognised as a live vocalist and lyricist. She integrates vocal performances into her sets, adding an expressive and improvisational element to club and radio appearances.
D-Vox hosts the monthly radio show D-Vox & Guests on Afro*disiac Live Radio, where she curates guest DJs, interviews and new music while combining DJ performance with live vocals. She has also appeared on international radio platforms, supplying vocal-led mixes for Conversations and A Drug Called Music on Saturo Sounds Radio, as well as themed and seasonal guest mixes.
Her DJ career included a three-month contract in the Maldives in 2017, followed by appearances on the Parasol Ibiza Tour and multiple seasons at Ayia Napa House Party between 2018 and 2019. These experiences developed her ability to read varied crowds, from beach settings to late-night club environments.
Daniela Rhodes also writes for Data Transmission and works in A&R across Koda Records sub-labels, including Koda DnB and Koda Hard. Her behind-the-scenes work encompasses music curation, artist development and underground culture, while her studio output includes vocal collaborations and songwriting for house, progressive and bass-led releases.
At the time of publication, D-Vox had a growing online following, particularly on Facebook and SoundCloud, alongside DJ sets, live vocals, radio hosting and industry work. Her contribution to this edition brings those strands together in a guest mix centred on performance, structure and atmosphere.
Bastian Valesco's Sultana opens the hour on Flemcy Music with a measured Deep House foundation and a restrained sense of warmth. The Maze follows with Burned Fruitcake, D-Vox's live vocal edit on Emotional Content Recs adding a more forceful edge without breaking the opening mood.
JP Lantieri's Pinot Grigio, in the Not Demure Remix and D-Vox Live Vocal Edit on Flemcy Music, draws the set further into melodic territory. Anton Borin featuring Chris Sterio then brings Generations, Matt Black's remix on BC2 Records, into the centre of the hour with flowing Progressive House movement.
Willscape's Take The Wheel returns to Emotional Content Recs in a D-Vox Live Vocal Edit, using the vocals as part of the rhythm rather than a separate feature. Dr. B's rAin remix of Beyond The Earth on the same label extends the tension before RIGOONI featuring Bruna Helena's We Get Used on Flemcy Music introduces another vocal presence.
Diego Poblets' Relaunch arrives in Ziger's remix and D-Vox's Live Vocal Edit on 3rd Avenue, keeping the mid-set pressure focused and melodic. Ian Dillon's Ava, also treated as a D-Vox Live Vocal Edit for Sound Records, gives the later section a more spacious finish.
Paul Sawyer closes the sequence with Tyche on Perfecto Black, returning the hour to the patient melodic emphasis heard earlier in the mix. The final selection settles the pace rather than forcing a peak, leaving D-Vox's vocal interventions and extended transitions as the set's defining features.
