Pete Bidwell’s circle. episode 255 brings its first-hour track selection and a guest mix from Menkee to Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
circle. was founded by Pete Bidwell, who held residencies at several venues in Ibiza over many years. The programme featured a broad range of artists and dedicated guest mixes, drawing on Bidwell’s relationships with DJs and producers from around the world.
Bidwell mixed the first hour, opening with Ivanshee’s Go on Moonearth Music. Its selection also includes Ariane Blank on Zenebona, I7HVN on DUENIA and NuFects on Mirabilis Records.

Menkee, whose real name is Walter Mencattini, was circle.’s guest DJ for this edition and comes from Zürich, Switzerland. His sound came to the programme’s attention in August 2019 through the The Madness In Me EP on Pro B Tech Music.
At the time, Menkee was preparing an album with Pro B Tech Music. circle. presented his contribution as an exclusive guest mix for episode 255.
The first-hour selection begins with Ivanshee’s Go on Moonearth Music and Opposite Ways’ Koh-I-Noor on Analisar Music, both rooted in Melodic House and Techno. Their measured opening establishes the set’s club-focused direction before the rhythm grows more forceful.
Thomas Ragsdale’s Hope Sandoval on Pfeiffer introduces Peak Time Techno pressure. Ariane Blank’s Part-Time Geisha on Zenebona then brings a more spacious Deep House passage.
Ryan Dupree and Friedrich Geist return the mix to Peak Time Techno with Tendency on Dear Deer Black. I7HVN follows with Theory on DUENIA, adding the rising movement of Progressive House.
Att/kal’s Cobalt on Dynamica revisits Melodic House and Techno before Tibbytek’s Underground on KOMP Records turns towards Tech House. NuFects closes the listed first hour with The Euler Theory on Mirabilis, returning the set to Progressive House.
