DJ Gerard presents The Hit List episode 05 on Scientific Sound Asia, with guest DJ Darrell Foxx joining the programme. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
On Tuesday 10 September 2019, Gerard, also known as Tim Jones from DeviceRATT, released the playlist and announced Darrell Foxx as the guest for the weekly show. Gerard works as a producer and DJ across deep house, deep tech, tech house and techno.
His work has reached audiences internationally and forms part of house music’s wider development. His productions use detailed arrangements and an individual approach to electronic music.
Based in China, Gerard works with Scientific Sound Asia’s DJ agency. His commitment to production and DJing has made him a recognised figure among listeners of electronic music.
At the time of publication, he was preparing for a performance in China. He is also the Nu-Disco manager for Brasbeat, described as Latin America’s first and only digital platform for electronic music.
Gerard hosts a monthly podcast and mix show featuring music that has reached the charts. The programme gives him a regular outlet for his selections and productions.

DJ Darrell Foxx brings more than 15 years of experience to the dance music scene, with a presence in Denver and Chicago. Originally from Chicago, he draws on a broad range of musical influences in his performances.
His musical roots include disco, funk, gospel, Latin music and house music. As a founding member of Casa Del Soul, he has contributed to the sound and culture of the electronic music scene.
Darrell Foxx’s sets bring older classics into conversation with contemporary material. His approach to mixing draws on his knowledge of a wide range of records and styles.
Alongside DJing, he produces his own tracks. Those productions draw on his eclectic taste and understanding of the music he plays.
Whether performing or working in the studio, Darrell Foxx explores different musical directions within dance music. His work as a DJ and producer has established him as a tastemaker in the scene.
Darrell Foxx performs house, tech house, deep house and Latin-Afro selections. His mixes are praised for being "technically brilliant" as he skillfully blends notes and keys, taking listeners on a unique sonic adventure.
DJ Gerard's The Hit List episode 05 opens with Dimebag’s 420 before Chocky’s Big Data brings Deep House on Wizz Music. Josh Wetherington and Christopher James (US) follow with Space Keys, a Progressive House cut from LAIKA Sounds, while Bachir Salloum and Hoolz’s Roach Material remix adds Organic House via Magician On Duty.
Okain’s Second Phase on Talman Records and Hinnise’s Mystery Love on M-Sol Records keep the first hour in deep-house territory. Bachir Salloum’s Rimasoul returns to Magician On Duty before M.A.N.D.Y. and Booka Shade’s Body Language on Get Physical Music introduces Melodic House and Techno.
Further into the selection, Atjazz and Jullian Gomes bring Love Me from Atjazz Record Company into the sequence. Radiohead’s Everything In Its Right Place, in Reinier Zonneveld’s Filth on Acid Remix, leads to Tim Engelhardt’s melodic deep-house Everything Is All You Have in Show-B’s Chord Dub on Poker Flat Recordings.
Layo & Bushwacka!’s The Time Was Then on Olmeto Records introduces the firmer movement of Tech House. Po-Lar-I-Ty’s Royale closes the listed sequence after the programme has moved through its deeper, melodic and club-focused selections.
