DJ Gerard presents The Hit List episode 04 on Scientific Sound Asia, with Jose Norat joining him for the second hour. Scientific Sound Asia is an electronic music radio station, promoter and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Gerard, who selected the first hour, is a producer and DJ working across Deep House, Deep Tech, Tech House and Techno. His approach to electronic music is shaped by a lasting interest in its production and the dancefloor.
At the time of the original broadcast, Gerard was based in China and was affiliated with Scientific Sound Asia's DJ agency. He was anticipating a performance in China.
Gerard is the Nu-Disco manager for Brasbeat, described as Latin America's first and sole digital source for electronic music. He also hosts a monthly podcast and mix show featuring music from his charts.
Jose Norat, the guest DJ for the second hour, is committed to using music as a tool for positive impact. From San Juan, Puerto Rico, he draws on influences ranging from El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico to U2 and Green Day.
Jose's focus is on intense bass, positive energy and cutting-edge rhythms. He also cites Sasha & Digweed, DJ Dan, Donald Glaude and Deadmau5 among his electronic music influences.
Jose considers music to be his life, stating that "Electronic music is a blend of positive emotions and the urge to MOVE! Therefore, always stay upbeat and be sure to embark on the adventure."
This outlook led Jose to perform in locations across south Florida and on several well-known internet radio programmes. He sees scope for personal growth and artistic development through his music.

DJ Gerard's The Hit List episode 04 opens with Jamahr's Hold Deep on Natural Beat Recordings, establishing a Deep House foundation. Jacopo Iotti and Franko Lopez follow with Rolling for ExpMental Records, bringing in Deep Tech House detail.
Josh Butler's Bontan remix of Got A Feeling, released through EMI, adds a direct Dance element early in the hour. Matt Mclarrie's Joeski remix of Trickly Voodo then leads towards Kevin Over's Noir Music release Daze.
Kevin Over's Daze and Green Velvet and Jay Lumen's It's All About Me on Relief give the middle section a firm Tech House focus. Over's Black Plant sits between those selections and DJ Pierre and Felicia's Supernova 2013 remix of Come Together on King Street Sounds.
The Supernova remix of Come Together introduces House Music, before Fabio Giannelli's M.A.N.D.Y. remix of Maintain on Get Physical Music returns to deeper territory. Sandy Rivera and Noir's SOTOM, in Sandy's Version for Defected, sustains that depth before Caique Carvalho and Cahio's Never Stop.
Earth n Days bring the set back towards house with Give Me Your Love on HouseU, followed by DJ Vartan and Techcrasher's Feel The Sky on the same label. Adri Block and Chris Marina's Block & Crown Eivissa Mix of Piano Powah on God Made Me Funky introduces Funky House, alongside Magonyi L's Spiritual Thing for HouseU.
Purple Disco Machine and Claptone's extended mix of Body Funk on Club Sweat precedes Alaia & Gallo's Never Win for Glasgow Underground, while CamelPhat's Hangin' Out With Charlie returns to Relief. Eddie Lopez and William Pires' E'yaya and Eddie Lopez featuring Cindy Vitch's La Chichi lead into Kiro Prime's Fogo on Banzai Records, Gary Caos' Automatic on Rekt House, and Gabriel Rosin's Be My Friends on G-Mafia Records, which closes with Bass House weight.
