Marco Mei is an Italian DJ and producer with more than 30 years of experience. He began DJing in the early 1990s, when Afrobeat and synthesised music were emerging, and started putting on house music and techno events.
During the latter part of his career, he played at festivals and nightclubs and shared decks with Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Ralph Falcon, Harry "Choo Choo" Romero, Justin Berkmann, Funk D'Void and Sander Kleinenberg. These appearances accompanied the development of his international reputation.
Marco held a DJ residency at Pacha Club in Sharm-El-Sheikh before touring internationally. His club appearances have included Woo Bar, Fuse in Brussels, Room 18 in Taipei, Bangaluu in Berlin, G-Star in Pattaya, SOS Supper Club in Bali and NLO in Minsk.
In 2009, Marco formed Bicycle Corporation with Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884. Their DJ and production skills began to combine immediately.
Drawing on house and techno music, Bicycle Corporation developed detailed productions and signed with the 17:44 record company. Their music has appeared through labels including Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, GrooveTraxx, Suka and Revox.
The partnership has released more than 50 tracks and remixes across Deep House, Tech House, French House and Techno. DJs including Sneak, Mauro Picotto, Dubfire, Axwell, Danny Tenaglia and Above & Beyond have played their music.
Based in Taipei, Taiwan, Marco contributes to the local club scene with an underground European perspective and works within a growing Southeast Asian network of musicians. His Ciao Taipei party was a local revelation in 2013, while this article recorded that he was touring Vietnam at the time of publication.
His weekly selections cover Deep House, Tech House, Afro House, Melodic Techno, Nu-Disco, Indie Dance, Electronica and Techno through his weekly radio broadcast. Marco is available for bookings through Scientific Sound Asia's DJ agency.

Ten Ven's Prospa Extended Mix of Just About on Positiva brings the set back to house music before Speedy J's Pullover on Electric Deluxe tightens the late section. Soulwax's NY Lipps on White Label adds a Rock edge, followed by The Amazing's Qu'Est-Ce Que Vous Voulez? on La Musique Fait La Force.
Unknown Artist's Pump on Cobra Records takes the final stretch into Techno, before Dirtytwo's I Feel on Local Talk revisits Indie Dance. Dirty Old Boyz close with Keep On Dancing on Dafunk, ending the programme in Funky House territory from Marco's Taipei-based weekly broadcast.
