After Hours 418 host Hypnotised publishes track lists and guest DJ

After Hours 418 features Hypnotised in the opening hour before guest DJ D-PET takes over for the second part of the programme on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music news platform, connecting underground artists and listeners across the region and internationally.

Originally from Ghent, Belgium, Hypnotised developed his musical background during a period shaped by events such as I Love Techno and 10 Days of Techno. His early DJing covered several electronic styles before his direction gradually settled around deeper Progressive House, melodic structures and Techno-influenced rhythms.

That progression became central to his approach behind the decks, with sets built around atmosphere, gradual development and carefully layered transitions. Rather than depending on abrupt peaks, he uses pacing and melodic detail to connect deeper and more driving sections of a set.

Together with fellow Belgian DJ and producer PatriZe, he developed After Hours as a platform for underground Progressive House and related electronic music. The programme combines their own selections with guest appearances from DJs and producers working across the international scene.

He has also appeared through radio platforms including Ibiza Global Radio, Frisky Radio, DI.FM, Golden Wings Music Radio, Insomnia FM, Groove City Radio and Fnoob Techno Radio. These broadcasts helped extend his reach beyond Belgium while keeping his work closely connected with Prog House and underground electronic music.

His DJ career has included appearances alongside artists such as Marco Bailey, Tom Hades, Purple Disco Machine, Jesse Rose and Nick Bril. He has also performed at events and venues including Amsterdam Dance Event, Deep on Deck Festival in South Africa, Club NL in Amsterdam and Decadance in Ghent.

In 2015, he became closely involved with AH Digital alongside PatriZe and expanded further into production. Their collaboration People from the Otherworld became an early milestone, reaching number four in Beatport’s Progressive House chart while also entering its Techno and Tech House rankings.

The title track from People from the Otherworld was later remixed by Rui Da Silva, adding another established producer to the release. He continued building his catalogue through AH Digital alongside releases on Bonzai Progressive, Green Martian, SLC-6 Music and Pro-B-Tech Music.

His Infinity EP became another notable release, reaching number two in Beatport’s Progressive House and Trance charts and number three in its Techno ranking. The release reflected the overlap between melodic, progressive and more driving elements that has remained present throughout his production work.

In 2016, he introduced the Man on the Moon alias with Sense on Bonzai Progressive. The project gave him another outlet for atmospheric and melodic electronic music while extending his production activity beyond releases under the Hypnotised name.

AH Digital remains an important part of Hypnotised’s work as both producer and label manager, connecting his studio output with a wider network of Progressive House artists. His wider catalogue has also continued through more recent projects including Between The Echoes, his remix of Bungalow and collaborative remix work with PatriZe.

This edition’s guest DJ is D-Pet, a DJ and producer from Bristol in the UK whose work centres on Deep House, Progressive House and melodic electronic music. His involvement with electronic music began at the age of fifteen, when he started experimenting with a pair of decks while becoming increasingly interested in the euphoric Trance associated with the late-1990s rave scene.

That early interest developed through the rural rave culture around him, eventually leading D-Pet to co-found a sound system with a close friend. During the early 2000s, they performed at venues and raves across Mid-Wales, giving him regular experience behind the decks.

His musical outlook broadened further after moves to Nottingham and later Bristol, both cities with established underground electronic music communities. During this period, Breakbeat, Electronica and Drum and Bass became part of a collection that had initially been shaped more strongly by Trance.

Artists including Underworld, Orbital, Way Out West and Autechre became important influences on his approach to electronic music. After stepping away from regular activity for a period, D-Pet returned to DJing in 2017 and later secured a residency with Platinum Radio London.

D-Pet’s mixes are generally built around Deep House and Progressive House while allowing material from other electronic styles to enter according to the direction of the set. His radio work also provided space for underground labels and newer artists alongside established club records and older selections from his archive.

In 2020, he launched Tantalum Records as another outlet for his involvement with underground electronic music. The label extended his activity beyond DJing and radio into curation and release management while also providing a home for his own productions.

His more recent releases show the range of that studio work, with Ionosphere exploring Melodic Techno, Glade moving into Electronica and Chord Rising entering Raw, Deep and Hypnotic Techno territory through Tantalum Records in 2025. In May 2026, he followed those tracks with Amethyst Sunrise, a Melodic House production that continued his work through the label.

His catalogue therefore reflects a wider electronic background than one genre alone, connecting Progressive and Deep House with Melodic House, Melodic Techno, Electronica and deeper forms of Techno. His appearance on After Hours 418 places that experience within a programme closely connected with underground Progressive House while giving the second hour room to reflect his broader musical perspective.

Hypnotised opens After Hours 418 with Simon Doty's remix of Massive Attack's Teardrop, establishing a deep Progressive House direction before Stan Seba's remix of Alberto Sainz and Idan Gerber keeps the early momentum flowing. Gai Barone's interpretation of Artfaq and Thorin's remix of Gabriel Filip continue the gradual development, combining melodic detail with the steady rhythmic progression that shapes the first hour.

Rikken's remix of Enlusion's Malakhit leads into Enigmatic's Shifted before Marco Bedini's remix of RYAN and Gerardo Moro maintains the progressive focus through the latter part of Hypnotised's set. Willscape's remix of Dylan Deck and Nigel C introduces the first Melodic House and Techno turn, while SiddEffects closes the hour with Tandav and returns the mix to Progressive tracks.

D-Pet begins the second hour with Cambric, Mental Order and Tim Othy's Disonancia, opening on melodic territory before Pincer's Pulse Star and Ornery's Symmetry bring the session back towards Progressive Songs. The middle of the set then features two Hypnotised and PatriZe remixes in succession, with Mauerhuhn's Chasm followed by Blue Cell's Fiber Brain.

JP Lantieri and Ornery shift the programme back towards melodic territory with Equilibrium, before OIBAF&WALLEN's remix of Mila Journée's Ethernal continues that more expansive direction. Paul Sawyer's Terminus restores the Progressive pulse, while Several Definitions adds one final melodic passage through Elyia.

Paul Sawyer returns to close D-Pet's hour with Quora, completing a second half that balances Progressive House with a stronger Melodic House and Techno presence than the opening set. Across After Hours 418, the host and guest keep the programme firmly rooted in deep progressive music while using melodic selections to add contrast and lift across the two hours.
