Marco Mei presented this 2019 programme on Scientific Sound Asia, with a tracklist documenting the selection. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music-news platform, connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
The Italian DJ and producer began DJing in Turin in 1991, during a formative period for the city’s underground House and Techno culture. His involvement with the Urban People collective placed him within the local network of electronic music events and club activity.
Marco later held a residency at Pacha in Sharm el-Sheikh, an important point in the international development of his career. He subsequently played for audiences in Europe and Asia, bringing a club-focused approach shaped by long experience behind the decks.
His appearances included Woo Bar in Bali, Fuse in Brussels, Room 18 in Taipei, Bangaluu in Berlin, G-Star in Pattaya, SOS Supper Club in Bali and NLO in Minsk. The range of venues showed the international scope of his bookings across differing club settings.
His career also brought shared bills with artists including Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Ralph Falcon, Harry “Choo Choo” Romero, Justin Berkmann, Funk D’Void and Sander Kleinenberg. These appearances formed part of a wider international DJ career rather than a single musical scene or venue circuit.
In 2009, Marco formed Bicycle Corporation with Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884. The collaboration has released more than fifty productions and remixes across Deep House, Tech House, French House and Techno.
Bicycle Corporation’s catalogue has included releases through Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, Suka and GrooveTraxx. The project gives Marco’s DJ experience a production counterpart while retaining a broad underground electronic focus.
Based in Taipei, Marco works across a wider South East Asian network of clubs, events and regional electronic music activity. He is available for bookings through Scientific Sound Asia and broadcasts weekly through its radio station.

Edu Imbernon’s Starbuster on Bedrock Records then brings the selection into Progressive House, followed by Julian Wassermann and Florian Kruse with Gotland on KOMPAKT Extra.
Alex Schaufel’s The Day Of Rebirth appears in the WhoMadeWho remix, adding an Indie Dance entry to the early section. Roma Moss and Holy follow with Ghost in the MockBeat remix on Hidden Vibes, keeping the tracklist close to leftfield club material.
Codek’s Tam Tam in the Whatever/Whatever Remix 2019 brings a Disco reference into the sequence before Jump Cutz and Monki move the programme into House Music. Catz ’N Dogz then add New Love in the Gerd Janson remix, linking the middle section to contemporary house production.
Cinthie’s Mesmerizing EP on Aus Music and The Bucketheads’ Tribal Rhythms keep the episode in House Music. Felix Da Housecat then shifts the set towards Techno with ILLNoize, before Caiiro introduces Afro House through Drummotions.
Hector Couto’s Salimo adds a Tech House turn, followed by CamelPhat and Alan Fitzpatrick with KONA. Altman’s Geonosis in the Hunter/Game remix then returns the programme to Melodic House and Techno.
Radio Slave’s So opens the closing techno section, followed by Deep Dimension with Rave Slave, Planet E, Stronger Than Steel and Audio Space. The final run gives the episode a harder finish, moving from house-led rhythm into direct Techno pressure.
