TENET, the Italian DJ and production duo, return with another edition of their radio show on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music news platform, connecting underground artists and listeners across the region and internationally.
They developed as a collaborative project bringing together the experience of two established Italian DJs and producers. Their musical direction connects Melodic House and Techno, Progressive House, Organic House and Techno, allowing the pair to work across both deeper and more club-focused material.
Their sets are built around careful progression between melodic, rhythmic and atmospheric electronic music. Progressive structures, deeper grooves and more direct Tech House elements can sit alongside Organic House and melodic material without restricting the programme to a single style.
The duo have also appeared through international radio platforms while remaining active around Italian House and Techno culture. Their involvement has included events and performances connected with venues and platforms including Ballroom, Lohit and Cafe De Anatolia.
Together and individually, the artists have appeared on line-ups with DJs and electronic acts including Kenny Carpenter, The Cube Guys, Joe T Vannelli, Subsonica, Tommy Vee and Auralism. Those experiences provide a broad club background behind a project that increasingly concentrates on the melodic and progressive areas of electronic music.
Production forms another important part of TENET’s identity, with releases including Expectations (Moon Magic), Soulmate (Rounded) and Holy Hollow (Xibalba). Antigone on Wise Jester continued that direction through a combination of melodic structure and club-focused electronic production.
The duo also released Antarctica through Mumi in late 2022, adding another title to their developing collaborative catalogue. Their releases reflect the same range heard in their DJ sets, drawing from House music, Progressive House, melodic electronic music and Techno.
Through their Scientific Sound Asia programme, they have space to connect those different influences within a longer-form DJ format. Each edition reflects the duo’s shared interest in melodic development, deeper club rhythms and contemporary underground electronic music.
TENET open Episode 58 with Dyzen's She Likes, establishing a strong Melodic House and Techno direction before Purpura shifts into Afro House with Through The Silence. Sebjak and Fahlberg then return the set to melodic territory with Somebody, followed by Tim Engelhardt and Sean Doron's So Good.
Adriatique's remix of Anyma and Grimes' Welcome To The Opera introduces the hour's darker Deep Techno passage before Mind Against and CAY (DE) restore the melodic thread through FLORAL. Space Motion's French Kiss briefly moves into House Music, adding a more direct groove to the middle of the set.
Rebūke's remix of deadmau5's Not Exactly brings the programme back into melodic club territory before Dimitri Vegas, Piero Pirupa and collaborators provide the hour's sole Tech House turn with Thank You (Not So Bad). CamelPhat's edit of Millero's Sweet Moment then restores the dominant melodic direction and begins the closing run.
Joe Fisher and Javier Misa continue with Out In The Dark before ARTBAT's remix of Meduza's Friends closes the first hour with another large-scale melodic selection. Across these twelve tracks, TENET keep Melodic House and Techno firmly at the centre while using Afro House, Deep Techno, House and Tech House as brief contrasts.
