Deysa presents her Techno Show episode 17 on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, promoter, DJ agency and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.
Deysa is a Romanian DJ and Producer who entered the scene in 2009 through her resident programme, Friday Fever, on Romania's online Radio DEEA. The show brought recognition for her DJ work within Romania's underground electronic scene.
Following her 2010 debut, she progressed through the ranks as part of a new generation of Techno DJs. Her style reached online audiences as well as underground listeners in Romania and internationally.
She was a founding member of the Underground Romanian Sound, whose events raised the profile of the electronic scene in her home country. Deysa demonstrated her commitment to Techno at Studio Martin and Kristal Glam Club in Bucharest, as well as Space in Ibiza, Zebra in Bacau, La Gazette in Cluj, Arenele Romane and Control Club in Bucharest, Rivolta Marghera in Italy, and Illusion in Montenegro.
Her festival appearances included Airfield Festival, Fusion Festival, I Love Festival, Felsziget and Electric Castle, alongside many other Romanian events. In 2016, she was resident DJ at Molotov, an electronic music bar in Vama Veche on Romania's Black Sea coast.
She shared the decks with Boris Brejcha, Sharam, Sister Bliss of Faithless, Nastia, Jose Maria Ramon, Coyu, Ellen Allien, Lady Waks, Jay Lumen, Ali Nasser, Makam, The Model, Herodot, Simina Grigoriu, Ray Okpara and Federico Molinari, among others. These appearances placed her alongside a broad range of established electronic artists.
At the time of publication, she had recently become a Manager at LETS Techno records and planned occasional guest appearances from the label on her programme. She is also represented by the DJ agency, hoped to secure bookings and events within the Asian Techno scene during the following year, and included several studio promo tracks in this mix.
Deysa's Techno Show episode 17 opens with Dino Maggiorana and T78's Hardcore on Filth on Acid, setting a firm Peak Time Techno tone. [Wex 10]'s Crypto follows before Miss Kittin and ANNA bring the Melodic House and Techno of Forever Ravers from Global Underground.
Luca Agnelli's Apollo on Drumcode and Reinier Zonneveld's Eating Concrete on Filth on Acid return the programme to forceful techno. Charlotte de Witte's Selected on KNTXT then leads into Deysa's unreleased Techno Is The Answer.
Torsten Kanzler's Heart on Kuukou Records and Dusty Kid's Flight Of The Bumble Bee on Filth on Acid sustain the pressure through the middle of the set. Melgazzo and Copini's Umbra on Hotstage Records adds another focused selection before A*S*Y*S and T78 deliver AC/ID on Fe Chrome.
Cherrymoon Trax's The House Of House, in Thomas Schumacher's remix for Electric Ballroom, provides the next shift in the sequence. Deysa Djane's Euphoria is followed by Dusty Kid's Sysma on Suara, placing her own work alongside an established techno cut.
Deysa Djane returns with Madness and Shadows, framing ANNA's Galactic Highways between her productions. A*S*Y*S's Bassface on Suara and Aitor Ronda's Tweezer on ELEVATE keep the final stretch direct and percussive.
Amelie Lens's Hypnotised in the Joyhouser remix precedes Dast's Sitting In The Sun. Charlotte de Witte closes the programme with Closer, bringing the set back to the insistent techno focus established at its opening.
