Cali’s HouseNation Radio returns this Saturday on Scientific Sound Asia, hosted by DJ Nocturne of Digital Audio Kingz. The episode begins with a powerful opening set from Nocturne and features a guest mix from Paul Velocity, bringing fresh grooves and vibrant house energy to the show.

Nocturne, originally from Los Angeles, began his career in 2007 under the name DJ Turiz. He made his mark in the Southern California club circuit with dynamic sets that fused Reggaeton, Hip-Hop, and Latin genres such as Bachata, Merengue, Salsa, and Cumbia. His versatility and energy behind the decks quickly gained attention across the region.

In 2013, he moved towards electronic music, teaming up with DJ MORE to form Digital Audio Kingz and securing slots on FM radio. Five years later, he rebranded as Nocturne and launched Cali’s HouseNation Radio, a house and dance mix show that has since grown into a globally syndicated platform through the CHNR Syndication Network.

Now based in San Diego while maintaining connections in Los Angeles, Nocturne continues to expand his sound through projects such as On the Deep End, which focuses on Deep, Progressive, and Melodic House and Techno, alongside his Deep House Sessions. His mixes are distributed through DAK Music, with his mission remaining the same: to share the spirit and energy of house music with audiences worldwide.

This week’s guest on Cali’s HouseNation Radio is Paul Velocity, a UK-born DJ and producer now based in Seattle, known for standing at the intersection of classic house heritage and contemporary electronic innovation. His sound blends tech house with influences from UK garage, drum and bass, hardcore, and funky house, giving his sets both energy and versatility.

He has played at some of the world’s most respected venues, from Ministry of Sound in London and Bar M in Ibiza to Gatecrasher in Birmingham, Venus in Manchester, Skykitchen in Vienna, and Kameleon in Croatia. Since relocating to Seattle, he has become a fixture in the Pacific Northwest scene, appearing at Q Nightclub, Monkeyloft, and other leading venues.

As one half of the production duo Sawtooth & Sine, Paul Velocity has released music through Global Dance Records, gaining support on Beatport and Spotify. His remixes have been played on Kiss100 FM and in the Kisstory club circuit, while his bootlegs have become favourites for DJs worldwide.

He is also part of Seattle House Mafia, producing the award-nominated Industry Interviews podcast, and his YouTube channel has more than 17,500 subscribers and millions of views. His weekly radio show Platform Six ran for three years with 150 episodes on SSRadio and Lifted Radio in the UK, later moving to Seattle’s KRGB FM, while his Mix Sessions podcast continues to chart globally.

Whether behind the decks at an underground club or reaching audiences online, Paul Velocity remains dedicated to pushing electronic music forward while honouring its roots, cementing his reputation as one of the most dynamic DJs in the current house and tech house scene.

DJ Nocturne opens Cali’s HouseNation Radio 286 with a wave of house grooves. Juarez’s Heal the Bass and Desena’s Touch set a smooth but club-ready pace, followed by Chris Lake & Abel Balder’s Ease My Mind. Vin Vega’s remix of Move Your Body and Jasper Fioole’s Never Look Back add uplifting flow, while Nhan Solo’s Deeper nods back to 90s deep house energy.

As his set unfolds, Silque’s Get Louder shifts into heavier territory, before Novacane & 2LM’s We Can Freak It and Alberto Dimeo’s Saxophone bring in chunky tech house basslines. Alec Lino’s Chardonn and Bauti Tesei’s Hittin’ add underground drive, while Daniel Quevedo’s Negro introduces a Latin tech house influence with lively percussion. Nocturne closes with Jerome Robins & Alex Kenji’s Lovin on Me and DJ PP & Silversix’s House That, reasserting the centrality of house music.

In the second hour, DJ Paul Velocity shifts into deeper territory with Kevin Yost & T. Markakis’ Messing With My Soul and Jerry K’s Keep On. Alessio Cala’s Without You and DeeAfro’s Feelin The Vibe continue with groove-focused house, while Kaaiman’s The Call and ATFC & Harry Romero’s Ahh Umm inject stronger tech house momentum into the mix.

Paul Velocity builds towards a soulful peak with David Hernandez’s Waves, Mr. V & Low Steppa’s My House, and Tom Cole’s tech house rework of Nina Simone’s Feeling Good. The set closes with Dantiez Saunderson, KPD & LaRae Starr’s Place Called Home, Ron Carroll’s Bang, and The Junkies’ Uneasy Feeling, leaving a lasting impression of deep house warmth, soulful vocals, and underground tech house energy.

Join the live broadcast of the show on Saturday, September 5th, from 4 PM to 6 PM Indochina Time (ICT). If you miss it, you can listen again on Wednesday from 4 AM to 6 AM (ICT).
