Floating Beats 752 on Scientific Sound Asia welcomes back DJ Joshua for another edition of his long-running show. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency and promoter, publishing music news and connecting audiences across the region and internationally.

Born in Évora, Portugal, DJ Joshua has been part of electronic music culture since the mid-1990s, building his knowledge across vinyl, cassettes, CDs and digital formats. His background spans House, Techno, Drum and Bass and Chillout, and even during quieter periods for Portugal’s underground scene, he stayed active through event organisation and community support.

After a period away from DJing to focus on family, he returned through Floating Beats, which has developed into a recognised outlet for deeper and more progressive electronic music. The show is built around atmosphere, controlled progression and a sense of arc that draws on his years of experience behind the decks.

Alongside the show, Joshua produces under several aliases, each covering different ground within electronic music. As Joshua Fernand, he works in modern Techno, with tracks including Blue River on MixCult Digital and Breaking Rocks and Tearing Metal on his own JFLM Recordings.

Closed Door and Open Door on Radickal Records take a darker, more hypnotic direction through tension and repetition. Killer’s Plan on Rice Bowl Recordings under the Joshua Fernand name bridges the gap, combining layered melodies with Melodic House and Techno structures.

His Joshua Marian alias sits at the deeper end, with releases including Just Love, Express Your Voice and Go Slow appearing on labels such as Yesenia, Jazz In Da House, Agua Salada Records and Wanda. That project draws on warm melodies, soulful textures and groove-led rhythmic flow rather than the harder edges of his Techno work.

The K Joshua alias moves into rawer and more experimental territory, with Promised Work on Kopoc, Stranger Things on dublucid and Slow Laziness on Ghetto Rhythms Records spanning raw and hypnotic Techno, Dub Techno and Ambient influences. These projects show the range of his studio work while keeping a clear connection to underground electronic music.

JFLM Recordings launched in 2024 as an independent platform for his own output and collaborative projects. Floating Beats 752 presents his ongoing work as a DJ and selector, with the series exploring deep, progressive and underground electronic music.

DJ Joshua presents episode 752 of Floating Beats on Scientific Sound Asia, with a selection moving through Deep Tech House, Deep House, Melodic House and Techno, Deep Techno and Peak Time Techno. The episode features music from Sublee, Joshua Onairam, DCLVIII, DBFB, Altinbas, Master H, Ian O'Donovan, Ken Ishii and Drumcomplex.

Sublee opens with Metime on Rawax, setting a Deep Tech House tone before Angelo Bass moves into Deep House with Strictly For Love. Joshua Onairam follows with Similar Opening on SoundCloud, shifting the early section into Melodic House and Techno with a more atmospheric structure.

DCLVIII’s Cougar keeps the melodic direction in place before DBFB moves the rhythm towards Raw / Deep / Hypnotic Techno with Rummage. Altinbas continues that stripped and focused sound with Eclipse, giving the centre of the set a darker Deep Techno character.

Master H returns the mix to Deep House with That Mood, using the Detroit Vision version to connect the track to deeper club traditions. Southsoniks then adds a House Music entry with Smash, creating a brief rhythmic contrast before the final Techno run begins.

Ian O'Donovan’s Samhain on Tronic brings Floating Beats 752 back to Techno with a direct late-set rhythm. Ken Ishii’s Prism adds another Deep Techno entry before Drumcomplex closes with Asstitude, ending the episode in Peak Time Techno territory.

Don't miss his live radio show on Monday, July 20th, 2026, between 6 and 8 p.m. Indochina Time (ICT). If you can't catch it live, tune in to the replay on Friday from 6 to 8 a.m. (ICT).
