Episode 718 of After Hours presents a deep and hypnotic progressive house journey led by resident DJ Hypnotised. Broadcast on Scientific Sound Asia, an underground radio station, DJ agency and promoter based in Asia with an international audience, the series continues to connect artists and listeners across the region and internationally through radio programming, digital platforms and events.

Based in Ghent, Belgium, Hypnotised has built a strong reputation for melodic and narrative-driven sets that combine emotional depth with technical control. Performances at respected festivals such as I Love Techno and 10 Days of Techno have strengthened his position within the international underground, where his sound is recognised for gradual tension, extended progression and carefully shaped musical flow.

Alongside long-time collaborator PatriZe, Hypnotised has helped develop After Hours into a recognised platform dedicated to progressive and melodic house. The show is syndicated internationally, airing on TM Radio in the United States, XBeat across Europe, Cosmos Radio in Germany and Scientific Sound Asia in Vietnam, building a loyal and globally connected audience.

Beyond the radio series, Hypnotised and PatriZe also curate AH Digital Essentials on Proton Radio, while Hypnotised hosts Energetic on Progressive Beats Radio. As co-founder and label manager of AH Digital, he continues to support emerging producers while maintaining a catalogue centred on progressive house and melodic club music.

His studio work remains active across several respected labels. Recent productions include the track Out Of The Shadows on Vandit Alternative and the collaboration Utopia with Noise Generation on Mistique Music, alongside Hallucination from the same release. He has also contributed remixes and collaborative work, such as Ignition with PatriZe for AH Digital and Weird Things for Nikoow, also released on AH Digital.

Additional work includes the Hypnotised remix of Blissing by Gabbe on SINCITY and Classico with Selected Grooves on OLD SQL Recordings. Another notable release is his collaboration with Frank Savio on a remix of The Master of Time and Thoughts by Tabrissel for COMET Records. Across these productions, Hypnotised continues to refine a sound built on melodic progression, steady groove and carefully structured atmosphere.

With ongoing releases and continued activity through AH Digital and his international radio projects, Hypnotised remains an influential voice within contemporary progressive house, combining production work, label curation and carefully constructed DJ sets.

Guest DJ NIQLA.

NIQLA, also known as Alexey Nikulin, is a Russian producer working within the progressive house style. His sound blends darker melodic atmospheres with layered grooves and carefully structured rhythm, creating tracks that emphasise progression, tension and flow.

He began his musical journey in the rock scene before transitioning into electronic music, where he gradually focused on progressive house. This background helped shape a production style built around mood, energy control and evolving arrangement rather than short, peak-driven structures.

In recent years, NIQLA has begun establishing a presence within the progressive house community through a series of releases across several international labels. His work includes productions on AH Digital, Balkan Connection South America and Magic Room, where he has developed a catalogue defined by hypnotic groove, melodic detail and steady dancefloor movement.

A significant moment came with the release of the Analog Dream EP on AH Digital in 2026, featuring the tracks Analog Dream, Thunderstorm and Warp. The release presented a deeper and more atmospheric side of his sound, combining progressive structure with textured synth work and carefully layered rhythm. He also contributed a remix of Sashy and Tabrissel’s Intuition for AH Digital, further strengthening his connection with the label.

Earlier releases include The Way I’m Feeling and Nova on Balkan Connection South America, as well as the Magic Room release Personality of Your Soul with Atique and the track Hear That Sound. These productions continue to highlight his approach to progressive house, where darker melodic elements, hypnotic rhythms and gradual energy development remain central.

Through these releases, NIQLA continues to refine a sound that balances emotional depth with dancefloor functionality, combining moody progressive atmospheres with melodic hooks and structured groove to create immersive club-focused productions.

The first hour with Hypnotised opens smoothly with Carin, establishing a spacious Progressive House atmosphere before the Regina Picone remix of Star Light and the Nikola Jovanovic remix of Path to Dreaming deepen the melodic tone. Flight 1132 and Bad Trip continue with steady rhythmic progression, balancing atmosphere with subtle forward momentum.

The middle of the set builds through The Vision and Deviant Queen, both reinforcing a layered Progressive House groove. Inside Out in the WAYA SL remix and the Kiky Pop remix of Ashen Skies introduce darker melodic textures, while the Rauschhaus remix of Echoes closes the hour with a polished and cinematic progressive finish.

NiQLa’s second hour continues the journey with a series of underground Progressive House selections, opening with a remix before moving into Of the Future and Lunatic. Amaretto and Edden Border maintain the hypnotic tone, blending rolling basslines with evolving melodic layers.

The final stretch unfolds through Shadow Passage, Obsidian and Want You, each maintaining the steady progressive flow before In A Flash leads into the closing selection.
