YushkaがScientific Sound AsiaでFunk Show 5を披露します。 Scientific Sound Asiaは、アジア全域および国際的に聴衆をつなぐ、アジアの電子音楽ラジオ局、プロモーター、そして音楽ニュースプラットフォームです。
Hailing from Nottingham in the UK, Yushka developed his DJ skills at free parties, raves, festivals and club nights across the UK, Ireland and, from the mid-2000s, Vietnam. He was a founding member of Nottingham's What The Funk? DJ collective and is behind the Shits and Giggles and Hot-Point Sound Systems.
彼の音楽作曲への関心は、ティーンエイジャーの頃に、ミックステープを作ることを楽しんでいたことから始まりました。DJ機材を購入する資金がなかったため、基本的なソフトウェアとCDレコーダーを使って学校でミックスを制作し、DJとして同級生たちから高い評価を得ていました。
2004年、22歳のときに初めてDJ機材を用いてパフォーマンスを行う機会を得ました。2006年には、共同ホスト兼創設者であるAniminimal（Deck-starter／Catalyst）とともに、ノッティンガムのアンダーグラウンドなバーおよびクラブで毎週「Sh!ts and Giggles」ナイトを主催していました。
会場のPAシステムでは不十分だったため、チームは自前の機材で補完し、Sh!ts and G!gglesのサウンドシステムを構築しました。Hanoi Hi-FiのMatty Cとともに音楽に親しむ時間を重ねた結果、ノッティンガムのHotpoint Sound Systemが誕生しました。
これらのサウンドシステムは、地下のフリーパーティーや、Substance D&B、Pure Filth、TSA303、Monkey Nuts、Psycle など、East Midlands のプロモーターとの提携へとつながりました。 これらのプロモーターは、ホットポイントやS＆Gに結びつく多ジャンルのナイトやパーティーに貢献しました。
Yushkaは、ドラムンベース・アーティストのEZ RollersやKenny Kenをサポートしており、ハノイのSidewalk Hanoi - Bar / Kitchen / Eventsに加え、ホーチミン市のBroma: Not a Bar、Arcan、Bann Barでもパフォーマンスを行ってきました。 彼の選曲は、チルなゆったりとしたビートからブレイクス、ヒップホップ、エレクトロ、テック、D&Bに至るまで幅広く、その中でもファンクとソウルがミックスの中心となっています。
2019年、彼はHo Chi Minh CityのArcanで開催されるSunday Funk SessionsのレジデントDJを務めました。Funk Show 5は2019年6月21日（金）に初めて放送されました。

Joe Cocker's rock recording Woman to Woman on Virgin Records Ltd gives way to Marlena Shaw's California Soul on Cadet and Bossa Rio's Saiupa on A&M. O.V. Wright's Ace of Spades on Universal brings in Soul, before The Chambers Brothers' Funky on Columbia adds another rock-rooted record.
The Bar-Kaysは、Spectrum MusicでToo Hot To Stop (Pt. 1)を、MercuryでMove Your Boogie Bodyを提供し、R&Bからよりダンスフロア重視の展開へと移行しています。 Geraldine HuntのCan't Fake The FeelingはPrism Recordsから発売され、Nu-Discoを浮かび上がらせ、続いてThe Jackson SistersのI Believe in MiraclesがTiger Lilly Recordsからリリースされます。
Herbie HancockのBring down the birdsはMGMから、George BensonのCalifornia Dreamin'はCTI Recordsから発売され、いずれもジャズの影響を受けた作品に回帰しています。 Westwood Recordings でリリースされた The Funk Hunters の Oh Shit の Featurecast Instrumental Remix と、Fort Knox Recordings でリリースされた Fort Knox Five の The Brazilian Hipster に続いて、Big M Productions からリリースされた Stickybuds の Kingston Funk が流れます。これは確実な ブレイクビーツの選曲です。
OpiuoによるLifeのFather Funk RemixがFunk Therapyで、EmpresariosによるHappy TrackのTelephunken RemixがFort Knox Recordingsで披露され、後半部分にハウスミュージックが登場します。 Funk FerretのGet Back To FunkはBoogie Boutiqueで、続いてGhetto Funkのキャラクターが登場します。
Marlena ShawのA-Skillz Remix - The Funk Hunters ReSoulが、Ghetto FunkレーベルでリリースされたCalifornia Soulに続き、Bombstrikesレーベルで彼女のKeep Pounding、そしてWestwood RecordingsレーベルでThe Funk HuntersのSoul Manが収録されています。 Elder Records における Def Cut の Battle of the Year は、Ghetto Funk における The Who の Who Are You の Funk Hunters Remix や、Jungle Cakes における Ray Charles' Deekline と Ed Solo Remix の Hit the Road Jack に先立ち、最後は Dance & EDM のトーンで締めくくられます。
