UK DJ & Producer Chelsea Singh At Bardo – Scientific Sound Asia

This event took place at Bardo Cocktails & Arts, 14 Đường Số 11, Thảo Điền, Quận 2, Ho Chi Minh City, from 9 PM on 21 February 2025 until 4 AM on 22 February 2025. Scientific Sound Asia teamed up with Hidden Events London to present UK DJ and producer Chelsea Singh for a seven-hour night of House, Deep House, Techno and Progressive House.

The event connected Chelsea Singh’s existing radio presence with a live appearance in Ho Chi Minh City. His MixSingh Sessions programme had already launched on Scientific Sound Asia in January 2025, giving listeners a regular outlet for his Deep Tech and Progressive House selections before the Bardo booking brought that sound into a physical club setting.

Chelsea Singh is a UK DJ and producer associated with MixSingh Records whose sets move across House Music, Deep House, Techno and Progressive House. His approach is built around energetic club programming, melodic development and electronic production rather than remaining fixed to one narrow branch of House music.

That versatility made him well suited to a long club session in Thảo Điền. Deeper opening material could move into more forceful Progressive House and Techno as the night developed, while the House foundations kept the programme coherent across the different styles.

Support came from DJ Psycho-UK, Determined, Omar, Coh-hul and Kevin Krissen. The line-up brought Scientific Sound Asia regulars together with locally active selectors and gave the event a broader Ho Chi Minh City identity rather than presenting Chelsea Singh as an isolated touring headline act.

DJ Psycho-UK represented Scientific Sound Asia with a background spanning East London Hip Hop, House, Acid House, Jungle, Drum and Bass and wider underground electronic music. For the Bardo event, his role sat firmly on the House and electronic side of that collection, helping establish the direction before the later sections of the night.

Determined and Coh-hul were already familiar names within Scientific Sound Asia’s House programming in Ho Chi Minh City. Their inclusion added continuity with earlier Our House events, where deeper and more groove-led House selections had been given their own dedicated format.

Omar and Kevin Krissen completed the published support programme and added further local representation. The varied bill allowed the night to move through several related areas of electronic music without losing the underground House and Techno focus established around Chelsea Singh.

The Bardo event came one month after 35 Years of Formation Records with Grooverider and DJ SS, which had marked Scientific Sound Asia’s return to major international bookings in Ho Chi Minh City. Chelsea Singh represented a very different side of the programme, shifting the focus away from Jungle and Drum and Bass towards House, Progressive House and Techno.

A few weeks later, the same address became connected with another Scientific Sound Asia booking when Sublow Hz appeared above Bardo at Úm Ba La. That March event returned the programme to Drum and Bass, showing how the Thảo Điền venue complex was being used for contrasting strands of underground music rather than a single genre.

Advance tickets for Chelsea Singh were offered in three tiers, beginning at 150,000 VND for Super Early Bird, followed by 250,000 VND Early Bird and 350,000 VND Standard Entry. The event ran from 9 PM until 4 AM, giving the full line-up enough room to develop the music across the night rather than compressing several DJs into short appearances.

Scientific Sound Asia’s wider activity connects events such as this with its radio station, DJ agency, events programme and music news. Chelsea Singh’s appearance was particularly relevant because it connected those different areas directly, taking an artist already broadcasting through the station and placing him in front of a Ho Chi Minh City audience.

The night therefore formed part of the renewed post-pandemic event programme while also strengthening the relationship between Scientific Sound Asia’s radio output and its live bookings. Chelsea Singh, DJ Psycho-UK, Determined, Omar, Coh-hul and Kevin Krissen brought House, Deep House, Progressive House and Techno together for a seven-hour Thảo Điền session rooted in underground electronic music.
