Scientific Sound Asia welcomes Digital for a special rooftop session on Saturday, 21 February at Tonic Rooftop Bar, 79 Quốc Hương, Thảo Điền, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City.

Stephen Carr, known as Digital, is a long-standing figure within drum and bass and jungle whose approach is rooted in sound system culture. His style developed through a close relationship with physical audio systems, shaping a production identity centred on weight, space and low-frequency precision. Over time, his sound has influenced multiple generations of underground artists.

Across several eras of the genre, he has contributed defining works, from the Blue Note Sunday Sessions period through to early explorations of halftime rhythms. His catalogue spans many of drum and bass’ foundational labels including, 31 Records, Certificate 18, Metalheadz, V, Reinforced, Dispatch, Rupture, Exit, Commercial Suicide and C.I.A., consistently maintaining a dub-influenced character built around rolling percussion and bass pressure.

With more than 140 productions released, tracks such as Spacefunk, Gateman, Deadline, Waterhouse Dub and Phantom Force with Spirit remain reference points for selectors across both jungle and modern drum and bass.

After nearly three decades in the scene, Digital continues to focus on music designed for physical dancefloor impact rather than trends. This appearance offers a rare chance to experience his selection in an intimate open-air rooftop setting.
