Bicycle Corporation is the Italian duo formed by Marco Mei and Stefano Ugliano, better known as 6884. Their catalogue includes more than fifty productions and remixes spanning Deep House, Tech House, French House, melodic electronic music and Techno.
Marco began his career in Turin during the early 1990s, working with the Urban People collective as a DJ, promoter and event organiser. His growing reputation across Italy eventually led to international bookings and helped establish a career that would extend far beyond his home country.
Over the years, Marco has performed across Europe, Asia and other parts of the international club circuit. His experience behind the decks has allowed him to develop an adaptable approach shaped by House, Techno, Disco and other areas of underground electronic music.
Stefano grew up in Turin and showed a strong interest in music from an early age, studying classical piano, percussion and drums. His wider influences included Chopin and West African djembe, giving him a broad rhythmic and melodic foundation before electronic production became his main focus.
As a teenager, Stefano became increasingly fascinated by DJ culture and by electronic music that was still difficult to hear on mainstream Italian radio during the 1990s. That interest led him towards production and eventually into a partnership with Marco, where their different musical backgrounds could be combined within one project.
Bicycle Corporation developed from that shared understanding of electronic music and has since grown into a long-running collaboration. Marco's experience as a DJ and Stefano's studio background give the duo room to move between deeper, melodic and more driving club material without being tied to a single style.
Despite their international activity, the pair have continued to revisit material from the earlier stages of the project. Some of those productions are now available through their Bandcamp page, giving listeners access to older work while the duo continue developing new music and radio episodes.
Roots reflects the wider musical knowledge behind Bicycle Corporation rather than focusing only on their own production catalogue. Episode 162 continues that approach with veteran Singaporean selector Brendon P, whose decades of experience add another layer of history and perspective to the series.

DJ Brendon P, whose full name is Brendon Perera, is a native of Singapore and a veteran of more than four decades behind the decks. Known for his low-profile and lo-fi approach, he has built a respected reputation through years of dedication, versatility and deep musical knowledge.
His journey began in 1980 on the Singapore mobile DJ circuit, moving into club work the following year. A formative visit to New York in 1984 exposed him to iconic venues such as the Funhouse, Paradise Garage, Danceteria and Area.
These experiences immersed him in the early New York club scene and introduced him to the emerging sounds that would eventually shape modern house music. Over the years, Brendon has embraced a wide range of genres, including House, Techno, Disco, Nu Disco, Funk, Soul, Lounge and Electronica, developing an instinctive understanding of dance music across eras and cultures.
Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, he performed both in Singapore and internationally with the Juliana’s and Bacchus groups, followed by key residencies at Neo Pharaohs, Venom and NOX. He later spent nine years as a resident at Zouk Singapore, one of Asia’s most influential clubs, before taking on a two-year residency at Kyo and then joining the resident team at the CE LA VI Rooftop Club and Skybar at Marina Bay Sands, where he remained for six years.
Brendon has performed in cities across the world, including Geneva, Gothenburg, Melbourne, London, New York, Miami, Taiwan, Hanoi and Hong Kong. A standout moment in his career was his appearance at the world-renowned Cielo Club in New York in 2010.
As a producer, he has released original works and remixes on labels such as In The Woods, Los Grandes, Reversoulmusic, Audio Parallax, Hotbox Music, Soul Shift, Defected, Rawjak, Eclesia, Issys Groove, Love International and One With Music. With his precise attention to detail and carefully crafted musical style, it is clear why Nicolas Matar, owner of New York’s Cielo and Output, described him as a taste master and one of the best DJs in the region. Brendon P continues to deliver sets that bridge past, present and future, carrying forward a lifetime of musical exploration and club culture experience.
Roots episode 162 by DJ Brendon P opens with a colourful mix of global rhythms as Ossain introduces Nu Disco touches layered with Batucada energy. Todd Terje’s remix of The Secret Field deepens the early mood with future jazz textures and warm ambient flow, before the Africaine 808 remix of Mizik Bel and Jungle Fire’s Comencemos bring brighter Afrobeat and funk-driven movement.
The set begins leaning further into House Music and Latin influences as Tribute To Watson appears in Brendon P’s pitched-up edit, carrying a steady pulse.
