Bicycle Corporation is the Italian duo formed by Marco Mei and Stefano Ugliano, better known as 6884. Together they have developed a catalogue spanning House, Deep House, Tech House, French House, melodic electronic music and Techno.
Marco began his career in Turin during the early 1990s as a DJ and producer before becoming involved with the Urban People collective. Through that project, he developed his experience as a promoter and organiser while presenting electronic music events across Italy.
His growing reputation eventually led to a residency with Pacha in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. That experience strengthened his international profile and opened the way for bookings across Europe, Asia and other parts of the global club circuit.
Over the years, Marco has shared the booth with internationally recognised artists including Roger Sanchez, Harry Romero, David Morales, Justin Berkmann, Sander Kleinenberg and Ralph Falcon. Those appearances added further depth to a career already shaped by House, Techno, Disco and broader underground electronic influences.
Stefano grew up in Turin and showed considerable musical ability from an early age, studying classical piano, percussion and drums. His wider interests included Chopin and West African djembe, giving him a strong melodic and rhythmic foundation before electronic music became his main focus.
As a teenager, Stefano became increasingly fascinated by DJ culture and by electronic records that were still difficult to hear on mainstream Italian radio during the 1990s. That curiosity eventually led him towards production and the technical side of making the music that had captured his attention.
When Stefano met Marco, the pair discovered a shared understanding of electronic music and began working together as Bicycle Corporation. Marco's experience behind the decks and Stefano's musical background gave the project a flexible base for moving between deeper, melodic and more driving club material.
Their work has since appeared across numerous international labels while the pair have continued producing, remixing and developing radio projects together. Bicycle Corporation's broad musical outlook allows the duo to move between House and Techno while drawing from the wider records and influences that shaped both artists.
Foundations gives Bicycle Corporation space to look beyond their current productions and explore the music that influenced their development as DJs and producers. Episode 32 continues that approach with guest DJ Brendon P, bringing another highly experienced selector into a series centred on the musical roots behind contemporary underground electronic music.

This week’s guest is DJ Brendon P, whose real name is Brendon Perera, a Singaporean DJ and producer with more than four decades behind the decks. Known for a low-profile and understated approach, he has built his reputation around careful selection, musical depth and a strong understanding of dancefloor culture.
Brendon began DJing in 1980 on Singapore’s mobile DJ circuit before moving into clubs the following year. A visit to New York in 1984 proved especially influential, with time spent at the Funhouse, Paradise Garage, Danceteria and Area introducing him directly to the club culture that helped shape the House Music he would later champion.
His musical interests have remained broad throughout his career, crossing House, Techno, Disco, Nu Disco, Funk, Soul, Lounge and Electronica. That range can be heard through his SoundCloud and HearThis profiles, where different periods of his work reveal a selector comfortable moving between styles and eras.
During the 1980s, Brendon worked across the club circuit with the Juliana’s and Bacchus groups before later holding residencies at Neo Pharaohs, Venom and NOX. He also spent nine years as a resident at Zouk Singapore, followed by further long-term activity at Kyo and CÉ LA VI Rooftop Club & SkyBar at Marina Bay Sands.
His international appearances have taken him to cities including Geneva, Gothenburg, Melbourne, London, New York, Miami, Taipei, Hanoi and Hong Kong. In June 2010, he also performed at the former Cielo Club in New York, reinforcing a connection with the city that had influenced him so strongly during the early years of his career.
Alongside DJing, Brendon has developed an extensive catalogue as a producer and remixer. His Beatport profile and Juno Download catalogue document releases through labels including In The Woods, Los Grandes, Reversoulmusic, Audio Parallax, Hotbox Music, Soul Shift, Defected, Rawjak, Eclesia, Issys Groove, Love International and One With Music.
His production work reflects the same breadth that defines his DJ sets, moving between deeper House, Disco-influenced material, groove-led club music and more atmospheric electronic sounds. Rather than following one narrow formula, Brendon has consistently drawn from different periods of dance music while maintaining a clear musical identity.
His recorded mixes are also available through Mixcloud, where his attention to pacing and selection is particularly evident. That approach has earned him respect across the international club community, with Cielo and Output owner Nicolas Matar describing him as a “taste master” and one of the strongest DJs in the region.
For this edition of Foundations, Brendon P draws from both older and contemporary material while moving across Electronica, Deep House, U.S. Garage and Afro House. The selection reflects the breadth of a career built over more than forty years and fits naturally with a programme centred on the music and influences that have shaped each guest as a DJ.
Brendon P opens Foundations 32 by reaching directly into house history with Nitro Deluxe's "Let's Get Brutal", a formative mid-1980s record whose machine-driven groove helped establish an early House Music vocabulary. Mr. Fingers follows with "Washing Machine" on Trax, taking the programme deeper into Chicago through Larry Heard's stripped-back drum programming and the foundations of Deep House.
Visual's Prelude-era "The Music’s Got Me" and Funky Green Dogs From Outer Space continue the connection between American club history and the deeper records that followed it, before Simple Symmetry's "Prince Of Persia" moves the selection into a more contemporary Indie Dance direction. DJ Rocca's "Alcatraz" adds a Nu Disco turn, while Leon Vynehall and Manakinz bring the programme gradually back towards understated underground house grooves.
Mike Dunn's BlackBall treatment of Lonely C and Jimpster's remix of Floyd Lavine and David Mayer reinforce the set's deep, soulful centre before Detroit Swindle's Friends On Acid remix of Seven Davis Jr. introduces an Acid House edge. Kerri Chandler then supplies the unmistakable swing of Jackin House with Supernova's version of "Hallelujah", connecting a modern remix directly with one of house music's most enduring figures.
Reboot's remix of Sebo K and Henrik Schwarz's Garage Mix of Roachford lead the later section through minimal rhythms, deep grooves and garage-inflected house before Loco Dice increases the low-end pressure with "Pimp Jackson Is Talking Now". Johnny D's remix of Leland McWilliams and King Britt's Obafunke project complete an unusually broad Foundations session, showing Brendon P linking early Chicago and New York house with Minimal House, contemporary club music and leftfield electronic influences.
