After Hours returns with PatriZe hosting the first hour and guest DJ Pedro Belardo joining the programme on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music news platform serving listeners across the region and internationally.
PatriZe is a Belgian DJ, producer and label founder whose musical development began with the harder sounds of Trance and Techno. After buying his first turntables at a young age, he gradually became more interested in the deeper, melodic and more detailed side of Progressive House.
Years of performing across Belgium helped him refine a style built around smooth transitions, careful track selection and layered melodic progression. Tech-influenced rhythms remain part of his sets, but the core of his musical identity is rooted in deeper and more intelligent Progressive House.
A significant breakthrough came in 2010 through his connection with Pole Folder of Bedrock Records and Reworck. During the same period, PatriZe won the Night Museum DJ Competition in France and earned the opportunity to warm up for Guy J, an important figure associated with Lost & Found and Bedrock.
Those experiences strengthened his reputation within the European Progressive House scene and helped establish the direction he would continue to develop. His sets became increasingly recognised for patience, flow and the ability to build energy without relying on abrupt changes.
PatriZe later became based in Thailand, where he continued DJing, producing and broadcasting while remaining closely connected with the international underground Progressive House community. His radio work has included both After Hours and Foundations, alongside appearances through other stations and programmes around the world.
Together with Hypnotised, PatriZe co-founded AH Digital in 2015. The label was created as an outlet for Progressive House and related underground electronic music, giving the pair a platform for their own productions while also supporting artists from their wider network.
The label’s early releases gained immediate attention on Beatport, with material from Hypnotised and PatriZe entering the Progressive House Top 100 releases chart. Their People from the Otherworld EP reached number four in that chart and also appeared within the Techno and Tech House release rankings.
The title track was later remixed by Rui Da Silva, adding another established producer to the project. That remix helped extend the visibility of AH Digital while reinforcing the label’s connection with artists from different generations of Progressive House.
PatriZe has also remained active as a club DJ in Thailand, including appearances around Pattaya and Jomtien Beach. His local activity complements his radio and label work, allowing him to maintain a direct connection with dancefloors while continuing to develop music for an international audience.
Production remains another central part of his career, with releases appearing through AH Digital and other independent labels. His studio work follows the same direction as his DJ sets, combining melodic structure, deeper progressive movement and restrained technical detail.
After Hours gives PatriZe a regular platform for presenting that sound while also introducing guest DJs and producers from the wider underground scene. This edition continues the format with Pedro Belardo joining the second hour, following PatriZe’s opening selection of Progressive House and related electronic music.

This episode’s guest is Pedro Belardo, an Argentinian DJ and producer from Buenos Aires who quickly established himself within the Progressive House scene. Although still early in his career at the time, his productions had already begun attracting attention from both local and international listeners.
Pedro’s music combines deeper melodic elements with stronger bass-driven structures, giving his productions a balance between atmosphere and dancefloor weight. Examples of his work can be explored through SoundCloud, where his developing style across Progressive House is clearly represented.
His releases have appeared through labels including One Of A Kind, Balkan Connection and AH Digital. Working with these imprints helped place his music within the international Progressive House network while connecting him with established producers and label communities.
His catalogue includes original tracks and remixes such as Sweet Paralysis on Future Avenue and Condor Plateado on SLC-6 Music. These releases demonstrate the melodic and atmospheric side of his work while retaining the deeper rhythmic focus associated with contemporary Progressive House.
Pedro has also collaborated with Jesuan M on Collapse, released through Juicebox Music. His remix of German Tedesco’s Sound of the Moon for AH Digital further strengthened his connection with the label founded by PatriZe and Hypnotised.
His Beatport profile documents the development of his discography and the range of releases surrounding his early career. That output has helped establish him within a competitive Progressive House scene despite the relatively short period since he began producing and performing.
Support from artists including Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Guy J gave his productions further visibility within the international Progressive House community. Recognition from selectors with long-standing influence in the genre provided an important indication of the direction his music was taking.
PatriZe opens the first hour of After Hours 493 with Gaston Sosa and Agustin Ficarra's remix of Soulmade's "Outbreak", establishing the patient melodic movement of Progressive House from the outset. Antrim's remix of Gai Barone and Cedren & Manu-l's treatment of Doki then deepen that early direction, keeping the atmosphere restrained while gradually increasing the rhythmic pressure.
Agustin Pietrocola's remix of Shayan Pasha leads into Leandro Murua's version of Facucio and Abity's "Particles", maintaining the long-form progression through the centre of the first hour. Fran Garay, Andrés Moris with Kevin Yair, and Kamilo Sanclemente with Mauro Aguirre continue that flow before Gorkiz and Tonaco close PatriZe's section with a darker and more driving progressive edge.
Pedro Belardo takes over the second hour with Juan Deminicis' "All You Don't See" before Alessio Serra and Noraj Cue move the programme into a deeper, more atmospheric stretch. A-Jay, George Alhabel and Beije's remix of Namatjira keep the hour rooted in Progressive House, using spacious arrangements and gradual transitions rather than sudden changes in intensity.
Navar's remix of Santini and Speakof leads into Imran Khan and Andres Moris before Stereo Underground's remix of Golan Zocher and Rona closes the episode with a broad melodic finish. Across both hours, After Hours 493 remains firmly focused on Progressive House, with PatriZe and Pedro Belardo favouring patient development, deep rhythmic movement and sustained melodic tension over stylistic detours.
