‘Francesco Conti And Friends’ episode 2 featuring Matthew Fisher

'Francesco Conti and Friends' episode 2 on Scientific Sound Asia features Francesco Conti alongside guest DJ Matthew Fisher. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music radio station, promoter, DJ agency and music-news platform connecting audiences across Asia and internationally.

Francesco Conti is a DJ and producer of electronic music who was born in Rome in the late seventies and grew up around the Italian capital's radio-station and rave scenes. He was shaped by the music of the late 1980s and early 1990s, including Acid House and Techno.

Over the years, he has reinterpreted these sounds while developing his own personal style. His work began in 1992 through collaborations with radio stations in Rome, where he also played at the city's major nightclubs.

In the summer of 2003, he relocated to the Adriatic coast and continued his DJ career. In 2006, he gained recognition by winning the Equinox DJ competition against 16 Italian DJs in Riccione, on the Adriatic coast of northern Italy.

The award opened doors to Ibiza, where he took part in important events each year. About ten years before this episode, he began several record collaborations, including a collaboration with Jambalay Records that began in 2017.

At the time of publication, he also collaborated with online radio stations including United Techno Familia and YouMixRadio. Across almost thirty years of activity, he played with world-famous DJs, experiences that enriched him, offered new stimuli and made him love music increasingly, which he considers a universal language without borders or barriers.

Francesco Conti and Friends episode 2 featuring Matthew Fisher opens with Alex Imparato's Knock In My House on NDI Promo, establishing Funky House before Ben Rebel's Without You (Life Is Not The Same Muzik) in the Ben Rebel Club Mix shifts into Tech House on Mind Code Music Promo. Vanessa L. Smith and Judge Jay's Move Sumpthin, in El Brujo's Ol Style Techno Remix for NDI Promo, brings in raw, deep and hypnotic Techno.

Anthony Acid's DJ Boris Remix of Hit & Throw Feat. Method Man on Transmit Recordings introduces Peak Time Techno, while Baris follows with the raw, deep and hypnotic Messenger on IAMT. Dyno's Clutch on Gain Promo, Francesco Conti's Acidified Version of Floor Six on NDI and Ken Ishii's Back Fist on Riot Recordings hold that focused techno line.

R Rivera Grooves' Extended Mix of Acid Kraze for Juicy Traxx turns towards House Music. Shlomi Aber's Warping on Be As One, Giorgio Rusconi's Yellowheads Remix of Twins on Gain Promo and Sparknoize's Alejandra on Trench Records Promo return the programme to raw, deep and hypnotic and peak-time techno.

Aeden's Forever on Sevens Digital introduces Dance Music, followed by Mental Infusion's Solar Wind on the same label and its Psytrance edge. Oziaso's Fausta on Garudha Records and Kota's Waiting on Communication settle into Trance.

Matthew Fisher's Awoken on CO2 Recordings places main-floor Trance at the centre of the later selections. His Exidia on Garudha Records introduces electronica and downtempo textures, before his Kronus on CO2 Recordings returns to main-floor Trance.

Leinender's Sight Of The Unseen and Wastefulness, both on Ava Recordings, lead into the latter track's Electro character. The Morrighan's Requiem (Lorent) on People Sound closes the programme with a final change of texture.

Guest DJ Matthew Fisher.

This episode's guest DJ is Matthew Fisher, who is an Italian DJ and producer whose career started aged 13 playing Latin House. He was born to an American father and a Greek mother, and his parents were a little wary and protective of electronic music at first.

As he grew older, he decided to study music at the academy and graduated with flying colours. Then he set off performing at events across Italy at a wide range of clubs and festivals.

In 2002, he gained a recording contract with Universal Music Italy, the first release being How Can I Believe in conjunction with Red Rossi and Mario Ragni. After his first release came an invitation to be part of The Wish Club in collaboration with Claudio Di Rocco, Coccoluto and David Morales.

Then in 2005, Matthew relocated to New York City, U.S.A. and in 2006, Matthew joined the CO2 recordings and Garudha Records. This launched Awoken, a fusion between European and American Businesses, producers, remixers and DJs.

Matthew continues to produce and is an engineer and creator of cutting-edge sounds that he releases on various labels. This month's show features Techno, Hard Techno, Tech Trance, and Trance.

The first hour begins with Francesco Conti moving immediately into firm and rhythmic territory through Knock In My House and Without You, shaping a strong club mood. Move Sumpthin and Flashback introduce sharper percussive drive, while the remix of Hit and Throw adds a familiar vocal moment set within a heavy Techno frame.

Energy strengthens further as Messenger and Clutch push the flow forward with deep drums and mechanical movement. The Bart Skils groove of Pump The Move brings a rolling, hypnotic swing before Conti deepens the session with his own Floor Six, adding acidic tension as the atmosphere grows darker. This continues into Back Fist, Acid Kraze and Warping, each track thickening the momentum with immersive and tightly built Techno. The hour closes with the intensity of Twins and the driving grip of Alejandra, completing a powerful and industrial first act.

The second hour opens with DJ Matthew Fisher steering the mood into melodic Trance. Forever and Solar Wind ease the transition through uplifting pads and a gradual build. Fausta and Waiting continue with warm leads and crisp low end that introduce a gentler emotional tone before Fisher shifts toward his own productions with Awoken and Exidia, both adding sharp synth lines and classic Trance lift.

As the set develops, the reflective phrasing of Translucent Memories and A Better Place brings depth through rich atmospheres. Fisher returns to peak energy with Kronus and the two Leinender tracks, which offer driving rhythm and bright melodic rise. The episode ends with Requiem, a cinematic and resonant closer that completes the smooth evolution from heavy Techno into expressive Trance across two distinct but connected hours.
