After Hours 452 features Hypnotised at the helm with guest DJ Xander Perera joining the programme on Scientific Sound Asia. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an Asian electronic music radio station, DJ agency, promoter and music news platform serving listeners across the region and internationally.
Hypnotised is a Belgian DJ, producer and label head from Ghent whose musical background developed through the city’s electronic music culture. Early exposure to events such as I Love Techno and 10 Days of Techno helped shape his interest in underground club music and the deeper side of electronic production.
During the early stages of his career, he performed across clubs and events around Ghent while exploring a broad range of electronic styles. Over time, his direction became increasingly focused on deeper Progressive House, melodic material and Techno-influenced rhythms.
That approach has become central to the way Hypnotised constructs both club sets and radio programmes. Longer transitions, gradual changes in intensity and layered melodic structures allow his selections to develop without relying on abrupt shifts in energy.
Together with PatriZe, he co-hosts the long-running After Hours radio series. The programme has been broadcast through TM Radio in the United States, Cosmos Radio in Germany and Scientific Sound Asia Radio, connecting their Progressive House selections with listeners across several continents.
The pair also present AH Digital Essentials through Proton Radio, using the programme to highlight music connected with their label and wider artist network. Hypnotised additionally hosts his own monthly Energetic show on Progressive Beats Radio in Germany.
His radio activity has extended further through guest appearances on stations including Ibiza Global Radio, Frisky Radio, DI.FM, Golden Wings Music Radio, Insomnia FM, Groove City Radio, Fnoob Techno Radio, Urgent FM and Ibiza Soul-Radio. These broadcasts have helped maintain his international profile alongside his club and production work.
Hypnotised has performed alongside artists including Marco Bailey, Tom Hades, Purple Disco Machine, Jesse Rose and Nick Bril. His appearances have included Amsterdam Dance Event, Deep on Deck Festival in South Africa, Club NL in Amsterdam, Decadance in Ghent and Zanzibar in South Africa.
In 2015, he co-founded AH Digital with PatriZe and moved further into production. The label became an important outlet for Progressive House and related underground electronic music while also creating a platform for artists connected with the wider After Hours network.
His early releases gained attention on Beatport, with People from the Otherworld reaching number four on the Progressive House releases chart. The title track was later remixed by Rui Da Silva, adding another established name to the project.
Further chart success followed with Infinity, which reached number two in both the Progressive House and Trance release charts and number three in Techno. These results strengthened his profile as a producer while demonstrating the range of influences feeding into his studio work.
In 2016, Hypnotised introduced the Man on the Moon alias as another outlet for electronic material. The project included Sense on Bonzai, while his wider production activity also brought recognition through a Metapop remix competition and exposure through Belgian station Studio Brussel.
His catalogue has since included work through Bonzai Progressive, Green Martian, SLC-6 Music, Pro-B-Tech Music, Stellar Fountain, Vesta Records, Insomniafm and Abstract Space Records. AH Digital remains central to his activity as a producer, curator and radio host.

Guest DJ Xander Perera (second hour)
This week’s guest for the second hour is Xander Perera, a Dutch DJ and producer whose involvement with electronic music began in 2001. After stepping away from the scene for a period, he returned in 2019 with a renewed focus on Progressive House, Melodic Techno and deeper club-oriented production.
Since that return, Xander has developed a catalogue that reflects both melodic structure and rhythmic drive. His work has appeared through labels including Manual Music, Magnitude Recordings, LuPs Records and AH Digital, connecting him with several established outlets within the underground progressive scene.
His productions often combine atmospheric melodic elements with firmer Techno-influenced percussion. That balance gives his tracks enough depth for longer progressive sets while retaining the energy needed for club environments.
Recent material has continued to expand that direction. All Season, released through RH2 in January 2026, sits firmly within Progressive House at 123 BPM and demonstrates the measured pacing and melodic focus that have become central to his current sound.
Another RH2 release, There You Were, appeared in August 2025 and followed a similarly progressive approach. The track reinforced his preference for controlled movement, deeper harmonies and steady rhythmic development rather than abrupt peak-time structures.
His 2025 track Vibes on Play This! Records moved closer towards House while maintaining the polished production associated with his wider catalogue. At 122 BPM, it introduced a lighter and more groove-focused side of his work without moving completely away from the deeper direction surrounding his Progressive House releases.
Earlier material such as New World also forms part of the catalogue documenting his return to production. Together, these releases show an artist willing to move between House, Progressive House and melodic electronic music while keeping a consistent emphasis on atmosphere and structure.
Xander’s work has continued to appear in DJ sets and radio programmes beyond the Netherlands, helping his productions reach a wider international audience. That support has allowed him to rebuild his profile steadily since returning to active production and performance.
His relationship with AH Digital also connects him naturally with After Hours and the wider network surrounding Hypnotised and PatriZe. The label’s emphasis on deeper Progressive House provides a suitable setting for the melodic and carefully paced side of his production work.
Hypnotised opens After Hours 452 with GRAZZE's "Virah" in an Olivier Giacomotto remix before Caz Coronel and DJ Paul with NAHS establish the deeper Progressive House direction of the first hour. Francisco Castro's remix of Travis Jesse and Closed Circle's "Eternity" maintain that patient progression, favouring layered melodic movement over abrupt changes in intensity.
D-Nox and Beckers' "Polyacid" receives a Navar remix before Nikko Mavridis, JFR with Juan Sapia and Nicholas Van Orton carry Hypnotised through the closing stages of his selection. Albuquerque and Foletto's remix of "The Girl Who Stole the Stars" adds another atmospheric passage before "UAV Aliado" completes an hour rooted in deep, melodic and hypnotic progressive material.
Xander Perera begins the second hour with Hicky and Kalo on Sudbeat Music before Jiggler's "Vision" and the GMJ and Matter remix of Roger Martinez push the session into a stronger Melodic House and Techno crossover. Perera's own "Reflection" then leads into Kamilo Sanclemente, Ric Niels and Sha-Ullo, maintaining a balance between progressive depth and more driving melodic club music.
Dmitry Molosh and Nōpi's "Ungovernable" introduces the final run before Jamie Stevens, Lerr in a John Cosani remix and Xander Perera return the programme towards its deeper progressive core. Perera closes the second hour with "Mavic" on Manual Music, completing a two-hour journey shaped by Progressive House, melodic tension and the darker atmospheric side of the genre.
