Breed Intelligence to start a new weekly show featuring guest DirtyTrax

The Breed Intelligence show’s episode 01, featuring special guest Dirty Trax Records, aired on Friday, 16 October 2020. Scientific Sound Asia is an electronic music radio station, promoter and music-news platform serving China, Vietnam, Malaysia, other parts of Asia and international audiences.

Alexander McCann, also known as Breed Intel, is a DJ and producer originally from London, UK, who lives in Spain. His longstanding interest in electronic music comes from strong roots in London’s underground music scene.

His music draws on bassy, intelligent, dark and deep production styles, and he was returning to the music scene at the time of this broadcast. The programme included a range of tracks he had been developing in the studio for future release.

Breed Intelligence, also known as Breed Intel, is a record label which was undergoing a significant rebrand at the time. Alex works as the label’s DJ and producer alongside other DJs and producers who contribute behind the scenes to establish the new brand.

Alex has made different forms of music for more than 15 years and has performed within the underground party scene. Although he had not yet achieved global recognition as a producer at the time, his enthusiasm for many genres means he does not limit himself to one form of electronica.

Breed Intel aimed to build partnerships with innovative producers from around the world. He hoped that 2021 would revive the music industry and allow DJs and producers to return to festivals and parties.

Dirty Trax Records is a London-based electronic sound production company formed by three brothers, including DJ Marcmite. Marc is not just a close personal friend of Breed Intelligence; he also exhibits a genuine passion for his music.

During the years from 2005 to 2010, Dj Marcmite's passion for music flourished as he honed his skills at renowned London clubs like Ministry of Sound, Fabric, and Egg Club. His unique style evolved into a fusion of Deep and Tech House, drawing inspiration from the vibes of 'CircoLoco' and Fuse London.

The establishment of Dirty Tracks as a Record Label marked a significant turning point for the Brothers. It allowed them to delve deeper into the genre, gain more knowledge, and start producing their own tracks. We are excited to have them on board with their guest mix.

Breed Intelligence episode 01 with Dirty Trax opens with Kerouac & Smile’s Meld, Hernan Bass’s La Presencia and Arkady Antsyrev’s Little Helper 348-2, establishing Deep Tech House through Music Related Records, Krad Records and Little Helpers. Markus Homm’s Hidden Race brings a Minimal edge from Highgrade Records before Brother In Progress’s Gamblee moves into Tech House on Time Has Changed Records.

Fur Coat’s Surrender leads into Amstram’s Please Roll Again from Kingdom Kome Black and Marc Faenger’s Little Helper 61-4 on Little Helpers. Egal3’s Petruce, released by Wizz Music, adds Peak Time Techno, while Javier Carballo’s Yo Soy Esa on Tzinah Records introduces Deep House before Loco Dice’s Detox on Desolat.

Jamarh’s Sometimes is followed by Dan Noel’s Purple Morning from Monday Morning Records, returning to the deeper club-focused material. Naturaw’s Rewind on Kote Records brings in Electro, before Pig & Dan’s Sand Of Goa, Doubtingthomas’s Little Helper 56-4 and Lane 8’s March Of The Forest Cat carry the set onwards.

Pill Pusher’s Breed Intelligence precedes Dan Howard’s Extra Trippy from Toolroom and Daniel Stefanik’s Deep Inside on Moon Harbour Recordings. Jaydee’s Detlef and CamelPhat’s Hangin’ Out With Charlie, released on Relief, keep the later section centred on firm, percussive club tracks.

Breed Intelligence’s Retro gives the host a place within the selection before Dennis Cruz’s Mad on Stereo Productions Catalog. Patrick Topping’s Dr. Vibes on Relief and Leftwing & Kody’s Sound Boy on Solid Grooves Records sustain the set’s direct dancefloor focus.

Riva Starr, Dennis Cruz and Gene Farris’s Play is followed by Josh Taylor and Justin Jay’s Pussy Pop (Jamie Jones Rmx), then Cera Alba featuring Zahra’s Taking Over Me - Tiger Strtipes Remix. PAWSA’s Hot from Lost Records raises the pressure before Oxia’s Domino, released through Armada Music Albums, closes on a deeper house note.
